I'm trying to choose a middle name with meaning?
I love Clara, too. My husband and I have decided that it will probably be our first daughter's name (after his great aunt). It's old-fashioned and not very common, but it fits in stylistically with a lot of the names that are popular today. I also agree with you that middle names should have meaning. After all, very few people will know your child's middle name, so if you're using one you may as well make it meaningful. Clara Novalie -- I don't recommend Novalie, as it comes from a movie about a pregnant teenager who gives birth in Walmart. Clara Abigail -- Like it! Abigail is actually very "in" right now, so this doesn't sound too old-fashioned. My second favorite name from your list. Clara Audrey -- I love both names, but I don't think the flow of this one is right, as both names are two syllables with the stress on the first syllable. Clara Elaine -- Love it!
