Jobs that work really early in the morning?

If you are in town all of the time, paper routes pay really well. You only work 2 - 3 hours a day (except for weekends, about one more hour) and get around $1,000/week. The pay differs depending on how big your route is.

Most paper routes have to be finished by 6 AM, so it may be perfect for you.

How can i work two part time jobs?

Why don't you check to see if there's any way you can have a regular schedule that allows you to do both? There is often flexibility in scheduling when it comes to these kind of jobs, and perhaps you can work mornings at one and afternoons/evenings at the other on the weekend. It will suck for you to have your whole weekend sucked away, but that's what happens when you go to school and have 2 jobs.

If you can't work both, you don't really have an obligation to stay at the restaurant job if you find a better prospect. Although it is not the ideal situation to quit after a week, when it comes to a job you have to do what is best for yourself, and stop worrying about being unfair to other people. The manager might be annoyed, but it's not like you're irreplaceable, and he's probably seen that situation before. The only part that I'd be concerned about is the fact that you were given the job by a neighbor - it's a little tougher to burn bridges there, since he did you a favor. On the other hand, he was young once and will probably understand. If he is someone that is really important to you, or you need to stay on his good side, then that may weigh your decision the other way.

Though you haven't been offered the theater job yet, so don't get too ahead of yourself.

Full-Time Student (18 units): Should I quit my part-time job? How can I do so without burning bridges?

Hello all,

Last year I started working for a restaurant, 25 - 30 hours during the school year. Huge mistake. I didn't realize how hard working and studying would be. Only a freshman, I was working nights and weekends, constantly staying up late and going to school the following morning. I struggled to balance working, family, and school. My body even developed a physical reaction (seborrheic dermatitis) due to stress. You get the picture.

I am starting my second year of college next week. I told my boss I needed her to cooperate with the fact that school is my priority, but she said she still needs me on all these shifts. My dad told me I need to give my two weeks notice if they won't work with my needs because the business is their problem, not mine. My mom said I shouldn't quit until I find a new job.

The reason I need some kind of income while in school is because I pay for my own tuition, books, car insurance, gas, and self-care expenses (dentist appointments, visit co-pays, etc.) So yes, I need at least a part-time job. But I can't be somewhere that doesn't respect the fact that I am a student.

I am really torn. I know I could find another job, but I just don't want to burn bridges. Campus jobs are great because they are usually no more than 15 hours a week and they allow a great balance, usually no nights and weekends. But if I quit, I will always need to find work during breaks. Help! What would you do?

Would you hire someone to work only the weekends?

I just applied for a job where a friend works but the thing is I can only work Friday Saturday and Sunday. Do you they will hire me? They are having 3 people quit at once and I'm thinking that since no one ever wants to work the weekends that this could work. Please honest but not harsh please thank you

Is it possible to get a weekend only job?

In these hard economic times, millions of talented, educated and experienced people out of work, there are openings for part time or on call jobs since companies do not want to hire full time employees where they have to pay i.e. health insurance, vacation days, pension etc. However your part time availability would have to be extended by adding a Thursday night or Sunday mid morning or afternoon. Secondly it is correct to start asking i.e. guidance counselor, club teachers, church pastor/priest/rabbi for referencing and obtain i.e. full name, address, city/state/zip , email and phone # which you type on a Word document entitled References. If you are unable to work more than Friday and Saturday at least search on the internet for volunteer positions to gain skills and experience. Good Luck!!
