What is the best photo editor app for iPhone?

I have taken an excellent online course in iPhone photography[1] and they have a private Facebook group. I recently made a list of all the different apps folks have used to produce amazing images. There’s a lot of overlap though some apps have distinct functions. I’ll post them below. But you need to start with a good image and learn the ways to control focus and exposure with either your native camera app or one like Camera +. The course I mention covers all this and lots more. Here are the apps that folks who are really into this are using. The asterisk indicates ones that are used the most (in my unscientific survey of a small population). For my FB group I included prices, so I’ve left them here…I don’t guarantee their accuracyACDSee Pro - free or $6.99Aviary - free* Camera+ - $2.99 - super app for taking photos - set focus, exposure, white balance, shutter speed, etcColor Pop - mask an image to have only a certain item in color - the rest in b/wColor Strokes - $1.99* DistressedFX - $0.99Dreamscope - FreeEnlight - $3.99Facetone $3.99 - great for portraitsGlaze - freeiColorama - $2.99 - this one is complex and amazing…look for their Facebook group to see what folks are doing with itLens Light $2.99Lightroom - free - camera and lightroom in one. What is the best photo editing software?

I'm sure you're going to get a lot of people on here telling you that Photoshop is tops- and I totally agree! Now that I am into photography I find that having a good photo editing program is essential, and Photoshop hasn't let me down yet. And don't let the stores suck you in to buying the $700 CS2 version, because 1) it's veery expensive 2) it does most of the same things as the "less advanced" versions 3) it is very difficult to learn how to use. As for myself, I like Photoshop 4.0. They have a 5.0 out now, which would probably be a bit better, but I haven't looked into it so I don't know what is different about it. If you go that route you will be looking at spending about $100 or slightly more. It's definitely worth it to have, and it has so many capabilities. You'll be blown away! If you're new to using Photoshop, you'll definitely want to go through their tutorials and maybe find some others online that can help you achieve a certain effect that you're going for. Best of luck with your decision, and may all your editting look stellar!

Best photo editing software?

First of all, consider the advantages of resident programs over using websites.
Keep in mind that you only have to install a program once, yet if you use a website, you have to first upload each and every photo, work it, then download each one again. MUCH more up and downloading in the long run, and when your internet is down, you have nothing. If you only want to edit a few photos, websites are ok, but if you have more, then resident programs are much better.
Don't expect instant perfection - depending on what you want to do and how GOOD you need it to look, it can take years to acquire those skills.

The best programs are Adobe Photoshop (expensive, but it IS the king), or its smaller cousin, Photoshop Elements (way cheaper and still very good!).

If the program HAS to be free, here are some good choices:

The Gimp. It is ugly but very good, especially for the "price". http://www.gimp.org/
Paint.net - not to be confused with Microsoft's "Paint" program! http://www.paint.net/
Photoscape - can't do everything, but quite adequate for the average user, at least until they outgrow it: http://www.photoscape.org/ps/main/index....

If you insist on a free website:
http://www.picture2life.com/ or http://fotoflexer.com/.
If you want something more capable, try http://pixlr.com/ or http://www.sumopaint.com/web/

A quick search on Yahoo Answers would have given you many hundreds of instant answers…… look up right now and you'll see a white box (that you can type your question into) next to a button called "Search Y! Answers" <---- that is your search box.
