What Purpose Does Ordering Staff To Rearrange A Horrible Office Serve

Have you ever dealt with rude customer service? ?

I went to one of those dry cleaners that costs $2.25 no matter what you bring in and they give it back to you one day later. Well, the reason it is so cheap is apparently customer service is expensive for the business, and they just cut that out. When I gave the woman the clothes, she said, "Did you try to wash this?" I said no, it's dry-clean only. She said, "Well, you know we can't get this clean, right?" (Most dry-cleaners say they will do their best but they can't promise removal of all stains.)
When I came back, there were four people working at the counter. One woman was talking loudly about another customer who had gotten on her nerves (I could hear every detail of the story and it sounded like the customer just had reasonable requests that she didn't want to deal with.) I was the only customer in the store, but they all ignored me for a minute or two. Then they got into an argument about who would have to wait on me, and the loser was very sullen and grouchy that she had to come over and do her job. She came over and held out her hand for my ticket, stomped off to find my clothes, then handed them to me and walked away without ever saying a word to me.
Incidentally, they got the pants spotless, despite saying that they couldn't. Next time I will just pay more and go to a cleaners where not everybody is a jackass.

Im in the air force and got orders to osan korea but i want to cancel the orders?

1. First term airmen can refuse to extend or reenlist to be able to accept PCS orders.

IE: you have 10 months time in service left and get orders to Korea for a short tour, where you would have to extend or reenlist to accept the orders.

Then you can refuse to extend or reenlist and the orders will be canceled.

2. But if you have the necessary time in service left, for the PCS move, then NO you cannot cancel them.

IE: you have 2.5 years of time in service left and get short tour orders to Korea, then you have no choice, you have to go.

3. You can call your assignment manager at Offiut AFB for your AFSC, and try and get them to cancel the orders, but you would need a really good reason.

Does a O-1 really have more power then a E-9?

i know that technically all commissioned officer out rank all enlisted but think about it.

SgtMaj have any between 400 and a million under their command a 2ndLT has 0-20. (whose picture do you hang on the wall)

if a 2ndLt told me to do something I'll tell him ill do it but probably forget about. If a SgtMaj told me to do something ill put all task on hold and do it

E-9 is also technically a higher pay grade

if i was an enemy sniper trying to cause the most damage I would shoot the follow enlisted before I shot an O-1

SgtMaj/Master Gunnery Sgt
MasterSgt/ 1stSgt
GunnerySgt/Sgt 1st class
Staff Sgt would be a tough call but i would probably shoot him before the 2ndLT

And witch inspires more fear?

Also ive seen Majors force LT's to clean a Master Gunnery Sgt's office

Business professional answers only please! Is 1.5 years in one’s first serious job out of school enough time to move on?

So I am a young professional (24) and have been working for my company for a year and a half. I finished undergrad, and my school offered a 5th year masters option, so I stayed for one extra year as a fulltime student to complete my MBA, while leasing apartments part-time. Once I finished at 23 I had my masters, but it wasn t worth much without business experience. So I started at a new company running the customer service depertmant, doing sales support, managing the online shopping cart, and being the primary person who enters the data for our customer’s orders. The company I work for is a small company with very minimal employee turnover because its such a relaxed place to work. I don’t see anyone leaving and our vice president has said the office staff is full right now, so I do not see a promotion in the near future. I only make 41K a year and work right outside Boston, I want to leave and work in the city which pays more for the same jobs generally. Will my experience working where I am now help me land a better position in the city making more? Or should I stick it out here longer because 1.5 years isn’t very long?

Ideas for writing a "bad news letter" for my business communication course?

I need to write a pretend "bad news" letter for my business communication course and am looking for some ideas that will be easy to write about. I did some research and saw some examples online that focused on declining to attend a conference, or a company being out of stock of an item that a customer ordered. Ideas please?

How do you inform a boss of a mentally challenged coworker failing in a key position?

I would ask the person if they needed help with the task. You don't have to be the one to help them. Sometimes people just need to know that others are aware of their shortcomings. I know that I am more likely to slack off when I don't think people are watching. Granted, the issue isn't likely slacking off, but let them know that you are aware that there is an issue.

If they ask for help, refer them to HR or the supervisor. If the supervisor is of no help, then move on up the chain of command.

Perhaps a job coach could be made available either through the company or through a social service agency.
