What Qualifications Does Rand Paul Have That Suggest He

What are some unofficial qualifications a candidate running for President should have?

They shouldn't have cancer or a cancerous past.
They shouldn't be allowed to hide their dark-skinned daughter in hopes that the racists will vote for them
They shouldn't be allowed to rant and whine about the media neglecting them
They shouldnt be allowed to make jokes that only they laugh at
They shouldnt be allowed to embellished their military experience
They shouldnt be allowed to say they stand for family values when they walked out on their handicapped wife

What are the unofficial qualifications to run for president?

Here's my list so far. Did I miss anything?

1) Be someone people want to have a beer with (this will win you the moron vote, which is substantial)

2) Be rich and/or have friends who are media execs (or no one will know who you are, i.e. Gary Johnson)

3) Be a liar (Despite what they say, people actually are really uncomfortable with hearing the truth) hate the truth. One of the biggest mistakes you can do is tell people the truth)

4) Love big government (or the unions will paint you as a fascist child molesting monster as they fear losing the gravy train)

5) Hate the constitution (this pesky thing really gets in the way of running a massive empire. Unfortunately there are these 'radicals' who insist on keeping it around, but it can slowly be eroded over time if you can instill enough fear into people)

6) Be a christian, or at least pretend to be (the thought of a U.S. president who does not believe in an ancient myth about a murderous god of the desert really makes people question your morality. Because if you don't believe in these stories, you could be Satan, and who wants to elect Satan?)

Do you agree these are the unofficial qualifications to becoming president?

7) Unconditionally and unquestioningly support Israel. It's the only way to prove you are a secret Nazi

In your opinion, is Rand Paul qualified as a libertarian presidential candidate who will represent you and libertarianism?

While Rand Paul can be described as libertarian-lite, we have nominated other candidates whose libertarian credentials were not their strongest point. Paul is sharply superior to whatever the majors will nominate, and so would be a fine Libertarian Party candidate for president in 2020.

Are these three GOP presidential candidates, Ted Cruz, Rand Paul and Marco Rubio bad for American politics?

Not all 3.  I believe that both Rubio and Paul are earnest politicians.  I personally don't care for their politics and I think they are green and otherwise under-qualified to run for president at this point but I don't think they are bad or scary.  I just think they lack the gravitas and intellectual depth I like to see in a President.  Cruz is a different story.  He is scary.  He is a hate monger and a demagogue.  What makes it worse is that he is a very smart man which means he is gleefully lying most of the time in order to stoke the fears of the party base he is targeting.  Like when he pretends that he does not know how the Supreme Court works.  He seems more interested in destroying that in building anything.  Although it takes a certain amount of ego to become a politician, he has taken the concept of power hungry to new dizzying heights.  There is simple not an iota of interest in public service in his body.  And while I don't expect a member of any minority group to blindly pursue the good of his group at the expense of others, I do find it troubling when they are unable to identify with the genuine issues that effect that group.  It hints a level of self-hatred and a total lack of empathy that is quite disturbing to me.

Why don't the Koch brothers support Rand Paul if he is the most libertarian candidate?

The Koch brothers have been reluctant to support Rand Paul because they don't believe he has a strong chance of winning the Presidency and don't wish to waste resources or political capital supporting an unelectable candidate. It's also worth noting that Senator Paul made some pretty significant blunders early on[1] , probably turning off the Koch brothers and other powerful donors. Apparently Cruz and Rubio are the only two candidates really receiving donor money right now. Footnotes[1] How Rand Paul bombed at Koch brothers gathering
