What Quote Or Phrase Would U Want On Your High School Sweatshirt

Why can't I wear a mini skirt in school?

Lately my high school has had a change of rules, banning skinny jeans and skirts that are not past the knee. In all the years i've been there, i've worn either skinny jeans, or a high waisted miniskirt, not to flirt, or try to be sexy, because it makes me feel more confident and feminine. Being draped in a horrible knee length skirt that gets in the way of everything and blows all over the place isn't really something I plan on doing. cotton trousers that don't suit my figure aren't really something I want either. Our school motto includes the phrase 'express yourself' among other cheesy quotes, how do they expect us to do so when they govern our uniforms so strictly, yet boys are allowed to have their pants round their ankles. I've heard a lot of people say boys get distracted, but isn't that something they should suppress, and not take out on us? I realize however my opinion may biased, because i'm only a teen, so i'm interested in others.

Phrases similar to "high as a kite"? 10 points to best answer?

I'm researching sayings referring to drugs (preferably marijuana) for this thing about slang that kids use today. A common saying is "I'm as high as a kite," but I'm looking for more. 10 points to best answer!

ALL TEENS+PARENTS: What do you think of this? PLEASE READ!!!?

I'm not good at reactions but I assure you inside my right eyebrow was raised, the left flat.
I wouldn't want my daughter wearing that shirt, but honestly I'm thirteen and I do not think that Victoria's Secret is a store a thirteen year old needs to be shopping in when it comes to clothes!
Oh ho ho, they are suggesting EXACTLY what you think they're suggesting.
That, hun, is exactly what they're implying. Odd--I thought that was what all guys wanted...
Why do we keep saying PG-13? I'm going with an NC-17 on this one. If I ever caught my daughter in underwear depicting the phrase "Boy Toy", Idk what I'd do but it wouldn't be pretty. It wouldn't even be that she was wearing something with sexual references. Just that she was wearing something that states she is nothing more than something for a boy to play around with when he's bored. I promise you my daughter will have a teensy bit more SELF RESPECT than that.
HOWEVER-Here's where I disagree with you a little. If girls WANT to wear clothing that indicates they have no self respect-let them. I don't think that we should ever force a store not to sell something just because it indicates sex. It's all up to the girl and the parents--you can't expect the world to make itself modest and save for you.
HOWEVER-Jeez, I keep rereading them and I just LOVE your phrases here -“Modest Is Hottest”, “Don’t Count On It”, “Saving Myself For A Rockstar”, “I’m Worth The Wait”, “In Your Dreams” and “Virgin Vamp” on products to encourage good moral character. And even “You Can Look, But Don’t Touch”,- They're all funny, and I have a very modest friend who I could totally see wearing the Saving Myself For A Rockstar or Don't Count On It shirt. And I would totally wear them. :D. I think you should start a clothing line with cute but not so perverted clothing for young girls. I'm serious! I want this shizz on the market! (Sorry for cursing...)
PLEASE :D

Is making a t-shirt for personal use that uses a copyrighted image legal?

As many others have already made clear, of course this would be illegal. You don’t own the rights to the band’s logo and imagery, so you can’t distribute them without their permission.Don’t even kid yourself with the “personal use” premise. It’s not. You’d have to submit that design to a t-shirt vendor and ask them to reproduce it; that’s distribution. And if you ever wear it in public, that’s distribution, too (which you don’t have the legal right to do). And even if you have your own t-shirt making equipment in your home and you’ll never wear it out in public, there’s still no exception in copyright law for personal use (it’s just that nobody will see or know about the infringement). But why not ASK the band’s promoter? Seriously, if you’re wanting t-shirts, surely you’re not the only one. You could identify a specific logo, image, or album cover you want to use and ask permission to make a t-shirt for yourself with that on it. And if they grant that permission, you don’t have to worry about copyright or trademark infringement.Who knows? It could turn out that they’ve wanted all along to have t-shirt merchandise made and they just didn’t have someone with the time or skills to coordinate getting that done. Perhaps they’ll appreciate the interest and partner with you to produce them. Or maybe they’ve already got shirts in the works. Or maybe they’ll say they have no plans to produce any, but you’re welcome to make one.Every which way I can think of, your situation is enhanced by seeking permission.

Is this phrase from Romeo and Juliet a metaphor or a simile?

an extended metaphor since it applies to the "name of the flower" (ROSE) and the object of attraction (Romeo of the hated Montagues) -- his name is just a name but he must have some sort of family and surname just as a rose has a botanical name and descriptive "family"
