What Right Do You Have To Say

Do I have the right to Say the N word?

so do i have the right to call you a desert n.i.g.g.e.r?

What do you have to say about rise of right wing politics, right from Brexit to US elections?

It appear to be the beginning of the end of Globalism. After the end of World war II, leaders of many countries joined together, to form a strong world body, in order to avoid another world war. The strength of the peace-loving leadership of various countries of the world is losing its power, and the UN bodies will lose its hold on the world affairs. Terrorism, resulted in anti-terror operations, its failure, may result in protectionism. Brexit and recent US election results, have paved the way for further weakening the UN institutions. The forth-coming elections in European countries and elsewhere, may record its continuity.Increased allocation in defence expenditure of various nations, is not a sign of peace in world affairs. Earth warming on the one side, and the preparations for war on the other, are not indications of better future. Only weaker nations are talking of peace, strong nations, take a different stand. There is no world leaders, social activists, or philosophers to arrest this trend. The vision for peace and progress, is turning towards protectionism.

How would you say "Yes, he is (right)” in French?

I think you’re asking for the short answer—how do you express in French the “yes, he is” answer, rather than give the full sentence (“yes, he is right”).Since French doesn’t operate like English, you have these options:Oui, il a raison. (“Yes, he is right.” Full sentence.)Oui. (“Yes.”)There is no shortened verb form, like you’re looking for. In French, you either say a full thought, full sentence, or you just say “oui.”A similar example is wedding vows. In English, we talk about the couple saying their “I do’s,” because the question the officiant asks begins with, “Do you take…?” In French, the question is “Prenez-vous….?” and the couple answers with “Oui.” So in French, they talk about a wedding couple saying their “oui.”

How can we say that we have done the right thing?

If you know your honor and integrity are intact you have done the right thing…. and you, and you alone, are the only one in the world who knows that. Explaining that to another person, with a different perspective and different experiences and perhaps different goals in their life… that can be challenging. You never have to say, “I did the right thing” or “we did the right thing” if you can demonstrate that the decision made or the action taken were in fact the right thing to do at the time, with the information you had, in the time-frame that was required in which to act or decide.I generally ‘flip’ the question when challenged on whether something was the right thing to do or not. When asked, “Chris, do you think you did the right thing?” I reply by asking, “With the information I had at the time, what decision (or action) would you have chosen and why?” If they cannot answer then you need not debate them at all or justify yourself. If you know you did the right thing, let the person questioning you make your argument for you. This gives you far more information about their perspective, their experiences, their intentions and their goals AND allows you to fill in the knowledge gap(s) they may have in questioning your decision action. If you have to defend your action or decision (as in a work environment) be methodical and logical with your reasoning and keep emotions out of the report. Do not state, ‘in my opinion’ or ‘ I believed’ or any statement of feeling… use the facts you had and when you had them. Then state, I did or I decided X because of A, B and C.People will always attack you for the actions you take and the decisions you make in this life because they are human (specifically a different human) with different emotions, thoughts, ideas and morals and ethics. Always demonstrate with logic and reasoning why the right choice was the right choice at the time, with the information at hand.~Chris

Why do most cops say you have the right to remain silent when they arrest someone?

I hate it when cops say that because you can't just say you have the right to remain silent to someone, think about this, what if they really need to say something important

How do you respond to someone who says "I'm always right."?

These are several of my ideas to respond with

"Hmm. lol"

"Glad we cleared that up"

"Always?"

Any other ideas?

Who said, "I may not agree with what you say, but I will fight to the death your right to say it"?

Actually, the authorship is a little complicated. It's generally attributed to Voltaire, but he never said quite those words - the quote is generally phrased as "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it."

In fact, it was Beatrice Hall, writing about Voltaire, and paraphrasing his original text - a much less succinct phrasing of it - to describe Voltaire's attitude.

What do you have to say about far-right political ideologies?

It depends what your take on ‘far-right’ is.If you think that everybody to the left of Pelosi/Corbyn is ‘far right’, maybe you are on the ‘extreme left’.The fact is, most people in the world are a mixture of socialist and capitalist values. Socialism should protect workers and capitalism should result in business growth - the two work well together with liberal values acting as a referee.I would consider myself not left nor right, I believe in a fair and balanced society where people are free to do what they wish to do so long as it is legal. I do not believe in policing people’s thoughts as I am no moral arbiter.Any extreme ideology is something I do not approve of ever, left or right.

Do I have a right to complain? My folks say I need to stop but I think they need to stop leaning on me?

My sibling is living with me while in college, and rarely helps with the housework and doesn’t clean up their own messes (especially in the kitchen). My parents need me to help with their mortgage, which is about $500-700 per month. I have taken out additional student loans to make it possible. I am a full time student to and work 20-30hr/wk. I keep on my family’s case because I can’t keep supporting them with housework and bills. They say I’ve done it so far so I can continue, despite me having a few grand in debt because of them. They get so mad st me if I complain about them not talking care of themselves. Do I have a right to complain

Does free speech mean you have the right to say things that others hate?

Yes. As English author Evelyn Beatrice Hall said in 1906,I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.While Ms. Hall may not have originated the saying, she nevertheless struck an important and sympathetic chord in the minds of free-speech advocates. I guess you could say that the quotation reflects the truth of what is called “The Golden Rule”; namely, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”In other words, if you want people to listen to what you have to say, even if they may disagree strongly with what you have to say, why not accord them the same privilege? What is good for the goose is good for the gander! To my knowledge, the only exception to the rule of free speech (that is, besides those categories of speech which are not accorded freedom by law, such as slander and libel, to name but two) is speech which is likely to incite a riot and/or provoke people to violence. (I’ll forgo here a discussion of how exactly one can determine in advance whether or not speech is likely to trigger violence, which may be impossible to predict in some circumstances.)In conclusion, you may hate what I have to say, but in a free society I have the right to say it. If you say I do not have that right, then you should not accord the same right to yourself. What a boring would it would be if we liked everything people said!
