What Should My Friend Do If He Is Consistently Being Marked Down On Test Answers That Are Correct

How can I write faster? (REALLY important!!!)?

Stop being unconscious and "on automatic" when you write. From now on notice what you are scrawling on the page and think, "orderly, legibly," when you form the letters and words. Think of the person who must read whatever you are writing.
Don't write with your fingers and "draw" the letters ... a finger writer plunks his wrist on the paper then picks it up and moves it repeatedly as he moves down the line. Your fingers should serve as guides, driven by much larger muscles than just your wrist.
Notice what muscles you use when you write … go ahead, try it now, and then come back here. You should be using your forearms and shoulders in a great, coordinated flowing motion.
Be sure to hold the pen between the thumb and index finger. The barrel should rest on the middle finger. Do not hold the pen almost evenly between the thumb and the index and middle fingers, because that gives you wobbly control and stresses out the underside muscles of your wrist.
Don't strangle your pen by squeezing it to death. Grip the pen loosely.
Writing at an angle leads the eye across the paper -- so whether you are writing in print or cursive -- your note will be a fast read.
Practice making "air letters." Yes, just form the letters in the air in front of you. By making them big this way, you start getting the feel of using the bigger muscles in your arm and shoulder that you should use when writing.

Never again lapse back into rotten writing! Much of the writing that agents do is on important contracts that, because they can lead to legal action, need to be explicit in meaning and understandable to all.

Will anyone please let me know if I wrote the right story in English Language exam? 10 points guaranteed!?

Recently, I've appeared in an O level examination English Language where I answered an essay. The question was 'Write a story that includes the sentence-'I never realized how useful that item of clothing would be.' "

I answered the essay:

The story was (um writing in short) we had a school beauty contest where me and my friends participated. I stitched a dress with the back covered and friends keeps on insisting me to attach a zip, so it will be comfortable. I do not listen to them and wear it in the contest. I do feel uncomfortable and the dress was tight. At last my back tears and i feel embarrassed! My friends and teachers tell me i should have attached a zip and then I include the sentence given above.

If the story is wrong, will I get marks for my language and attempt?

Please help!

Why does my friend lie about her grades?

She makes other people think that she is very smart, when she's not really: she gets Cs and Ds but she tells everyone she wants to be a surgeon, and go to pretisgious universities such as imperial college for medicine.

Sh constantly lies about her grades for Example . On a test she told me she got full marks when she actually got an A- . Also whenever she gets an a minus she overreCts but when she gets Cs and Ds she just keeps quiet and does not tell anyone.
When I get bad grades I tell the truth and she never does she makes it sound she is wayy smarter than me.

I get so irritated. Why is she acting like this?
I have another friend like thus she always wants to prove that she is smart by saying oh I got an a plus on this test but I didn't study

Why are my friends acting like this? Is it because I always get better grades than them?

How to avoid making "careless" mistakes in math?

There are a few things I try to do to avoid errors:

1) Always keep any units riding along with the values. (3 mm instead of just 3). This way if you need the answer in meters, you'll see that you need to convert from mm at the end.

2) Make sure to use variables you won't confuse with numbers when reading them.

3) Check your answers where you can. This doesn't mean doing the problem all over again, but more sanity checking that if you plug your answer back in to the original problem that it makes sense.

4) If you have time to work the test even 1 1/2 times, perhaps you are going too fast. Slow down just a beat and make sure you haven't added 6 and 7 and gotten 15 somehow. =)
