What is the best thing to cut yourself with?
I would say a Razor out of a little plastic pencil sharpener. Just take something heavey enough and smash the pencil shargener untill the blade comes out. Then put it in a bit of warm water and saterilize it with "Poroxcide" or "rubbing alchol" Somthing like that :) Hope i helped.

I've used paper towels, toilet paper, old clothes that won't be missed and tissues before.Blades vary in sharpness, pencil sharpener blades found in expensive art kits are very sharp and easy to remove and grip. Most are steel and have one rounded corner that I find make them easier to hold.Use antibacterial ointments, neosporin, or any others you can get your hands on. Walgreens has cheap medical tape, gauze and various other items that can keep you safe while cutting.If you buy a field med kit, they sometimes have scalpels, which are always sterile until you open the packaging and are extremely sharp. You may even find one if you buy the right science experiment kit.Whatever you decide to do, stay safe while doing it.(Don't hold a blade over a flame, it will turn black and sooty and it will not wash off and becomes dull)

I address my thoughts about this in it, so I’ll just get to your question here.Do not, under any circumstances, use a knife. It’s the absolute worst tool for the job other than, I don’t know, a chainsaw. Common kitchen knives, unless they have been manually sharpened, are really not that sharp. It will take a lot of strength to actually make a cut and it will be much deeper than is safe because you don’t have very much control over the cut. I can’t say this enough: stay out of the kitchen.The safest tool for cutting is a single edge razor blade. Something like this. The single edge part is important because it allows you to hold the blade from the top without the risk of cutting your fingers. You can use a double edged one too, but you have to hold it from the middle, which is a worse grip than the top. It has to be brand new, so that you don’t get an infection.You will also need a way to disinfect your skin before and after. You can use rubbing alcohol (not liquor) or peroxide on a cotton ball beforehand. Afterwards, it’s better to use something milder, like soap and water. What are some things you can cut yourself with?
I'm writing a story (I promise) and a few of the characters fall into depression/get overwhelmed by stress, one gets an eating disorder, another runs away, and the last one starts cutting. I haven't cut myself before except for paper cuts but I was wondering what a few things you can cut yourself with that are around the house? I would have used a knife/scissors but the character's mother is very clean and they don't own a lot of things, so it would be too noticeable. I didn't want the character to just get them out of nowhere, either.

well I'm 13 going threw some very hard times, my life sucks. I cut myself today on my wists with a steak knife. but what are some better house hold items that will be sharper and faster, because the knife wasnt sharp and I want something that will go in deep and fast. I cut myself only on my arm, the iner part alittle higher than the wrist

um. I've spent about 3000 dollars trying to get the hideous scars removed from self-harming. Don't do it. It's not worth it. Instead, how about you run? It's still painful as **** (especially when you really push yourself) and it still releases the endorphins that cutting gives you, but instead of permanently damaging your skin, you're making your heart healthy!
