Any reviews or comments about Turtle Bay's Luau on the North Shore of Oahu?

Fodor's doesn't mention anything about Turtle Bay's luau, but it does mention a few others. I'm not sure which you have been to before, but their choice for the best one on Oahu is The Polynesian Cultural Center's Ali'i Luau ($80-$195).

It also mentions Germaine's ($65) which it describes as the most 'folksy and local', but suggests that it is best for first-timers. According to the book, Paradise Cove Luau has the best scenery, lots of pre-dinner activities and is kid friendly ($73-$118).

On Maui, the Feast at Lele is more of a 'fine dining experience with an intimate beach setting' and is the most expensive luau on Maui, but is top-notch. ($105)

Fodor's choice on Maui is the Old Lahaina Luau, which they say is the most traditional and regarded as the best on the island by most. It's small, personal, authentic and sells out regularly. ($89)

Sorry I have no first hand experience, but I hope this helps! :)

** Edited to add:
I looked in the other books I have on hand and none of them offer an opinion about Turtle Bay's luau. Actually it's only mentioned briefly in one of the several books that I have.

The only thing I was able to find online was here:

Who are the NHL's all-time best fighters/enforcers?

The top few (not necessarily in  any order):1. Dave Schultz of the "Broad Street Bullies"-era Flyers2. Marty McSorley was Wayne Gretzky's personal bodyguard for most of his career. In fact, Gretzky refused to go to LA unless McSorley was included in the trade. Reputation diminished by the Donald Brashear slashing incident, but a great one in his prime.3. Tie Domi. Just a beast.4. Bob Probert, at least until he got too into drugs.5. Rob Ray. Any guy who got a rule created in his name (specifically, Ray would lose his jersey and pads, often fighting bare-chested, which gave his opponent nothing to grab onto, and hence no leverage) had to be noteworthy.

What are some movies or tv shows like the jersey shore?

I loved the jersey shore. the parts I loved were snooki and vinny hooking up. I liked all the clubing and I liked the share house idea and the summer job. but the parts about sammi and Ronnie were kinda annoying but I like some swearing and yelling. I liked the guido part. the comedy. and finnaly how the acted like a family. please give me some sugjestions. I'm gonna be watching it on my instant netflix account so if it was instant on netflix that would be awesome but if it's not that's definitly fine. :D

On what topic would Donald Trump speak at the Oxford Union?

A topic on which he is intimately familiar, and which he has long practice expounding upon: himself. As a pessimist, I feel like Trump is a harbinger of the new type of reality TV show-politician, and this will provide a useful primer for the Oxfordians when a Georgie Shore contestant gets elected Prime Minister in 2038. You know whatever stupid, inane thing we do eventually washes up on your shores, albeit slightly more polished yet somehow seemingly more incompetent.A2A

Where is the town of Bomont in the movie Footloose?

It isn't stated in the film or the synopsis, with Bomont only referred to 'a small mid-west town'. The plot of the film is based on events that happened in Elmore City, Oklahoma, so we can probably take a creative leap of faith and say that Bomont is also in Oklahoma. The production was filmed around Utah.In the upcoming remake, Footloose (2011), the action takes place in Beaumont, Tennessee, and the production was filmed in Georgia.

Do Scots have an advantage understanding the Geordie accent?

For me, a Scot who speaks in Scots dialect, the answer is certainly yes. Many of the dialect words are similar or identical - words like divent (don’t), toon (town), doon (down), bairn (child), deed (dead), fower (four), the morra (tomorrow), nu (now), ower (over), oot (out), gan (go), etc.I’m from East Lothian, and live just over 100 miles from Newscastle upon Tyne. My brother-in-law and his family are from Gateshead (next door to Newcastle), so I’ve been there many times. Scots and Geordie dialects are closely related historically too, so the similarities are unsurprising - Scots evolved from the northern form of Old/Middle English, just as Geordie did.The only thing that took me a while to decipher, was the habit they had of asking if I wanted owt, when going to the shops. It means do you want aught (anything at all)!Another weird thing is that in Newcastle/Gateshead I don’t feel the need to change my accent to the usual standard form of Scottish English that I need to use with those foreigners from the south of England. The Geordie side of the family can understand me most of the time too.
