What to expect at a high school party?

i know you don't want to hear it, but i have to say it or else ill feel bad.
dont do it!! don't try weed!! ive been there & done that. and nothing beautiful turned out of it.
ok.
now for what u do want to hear:
1) if you're drinking, DON'T mix liquor (vodka, tequila) with beer. you'll be spending the rest of the evening with your head in the toilet if you do.
2) NEVER EVER EVER EVER IN YOUR LIFE EVER IMAGINE OR CONSIDER GETTING INTO A CAR WITH -------ANYONE!!!------WHO IS DRUNK. I CANNOT STRESS THAT ENOUGH. I THINK U GET THE POINT. NEVER EVER EVER!!
3) if you're gonna smoke, get eye drops and perfume to hide from parents
4) people don't have sex like all out right there in front of everyone....most go to a room or a car. DONT HAVE SEX AT A PARTY!! DO NOT! you will feel disgusted if you do.
5) know your limits. if you feel tipsy, stop. getting **** faced drunk is not cool, its stupid. remember, people bring cameras and stuff to parties and the last thing you want is to see your drunk times posted all over facebook or youtube.
6) please, G-d gave you a brain, use it. trust your instincts.
7)if you start to get a headache (from drinking) have some water. headaches are caused by dehydration,
8) don't dress like a whore. its trashy, not hot.
9) STICK TO YOUR FRIENDS. don't go anywhere with a boy you don't know.

good luck. be smart!

What should I expect on my first day of high school?

Nothing spectacular will happen. There won't be a parade or a perfectly choreographed song and dance routineYou'll be nervous. But then again, so will everyone elseYou won't know everyone. Unless you all went to the same middle school, there are bound to be new faces. Introduce yourself, but don't freak out if you don't make friends right awayYou might have trouble finding your classes. Try to run your schedule before the first day, but no one’s going to care if a freshman is a little late to class in the first couple daysNo one’s going to bully you for being a freshman. Maybe they'll assert their seniority a little, but no more than just telling you what to do or something like thatThere will be a flow of traffic. At my school, we know to walk on the right side of the hallway (like we drive on the roads). Don't be the odd one out fighting the currentLunch might be awkward. My first day of high school, I ate lunch with about five other people on a small bench. I couldn't find my friends. Yikes. But no worries, it gets betterPeople in high school are more mature and stable than are middle schoolers. You'll come to appreciate that over the next four yearsRelax and enjoy yourself! Do what your teachers say. Be confident and talk to people. Ask them about middle school, classes, tv shows, sports, what they did over the summer—start conversations and you'll get to know people soon. You can even talk about how nervous you are—I'm sure you're not the only one!Good luck in high school, though I doubt you'll need it

What to expect from high school?

Its sooooo much fun. I was scared rite b4 i went and wen i got there it was sooo much fun. Parties every weekend, more people and more friends, more FREEDOM, everything is better. But tha most important thing is dont get off track wit grades. Im goin 2 tha 10th grade and im goin 2 have 2 work extra hard cuz thats one thing i did wrong. I got so caught up in boys and friends my grades became tha least important thing so dont let that happen

What should I expect at my first high school party?

Okay, give me everything little thing that I should expect at a high school party. Oh and also me and my friend are going to be the only 2 freshman there. The rest are going to be juniors and seniors. Maybe older. How can I play it off cool and maybe look a little older?

What to expect from high school track team?

hi, so im a ninth grader and one of my best friends wants me to join track with him, im joining a new club so i told him if he came to my new club with me that i would go to the first track meet to see if i want to do it.

so what should i expect of track in HS? in middle school i was really good at short sprints (50, 100) but im not good at any of the jumps, throws or long distance runs we did. do most HS track teams do more long distance/throws/jumps or short distance or a little of everything?

im mostly going to the first meet to see who is joining and what kinds of things we'll be doing, im honestly not really looking forward to it very much. i like the idea but ive never really been into fitness stuff (don't get me wrong, im fit and i do exercise and have an A in PE and everything i just don't care for it as a hobby, i like art and animals more :)

so just wondering:
first track meet-will we do anything?
should i wear regular clothes, change into my PE clothes or see if they let us change?
what can i expect us to do in track?
have any of you been in track? do you recommend it?

thank you sooooo much, its just im not sure if this is right for me but i really want to try because my friend wants me to, and because he is switching class we have together so ill only get to see him for one class and a few clubs.... thanks!

Shadowing a high school... What to expect?

I'm going to be a freshman in high school this upcoming school year.
i've homeschooled 4 school years of my life (including the past two).

Before I homeschooled again i went to a private Christian school.
I will also be shadowing a private Christian school (a different one)
so I kind of know what it will be like i guess,

but I have some questions like:

Will I need to bring a lunch?
Do I have to participate in any class work, PE, etc.?
Do I need to ask questions?
Do I need a backpack, lunchbox, binder, pencil, etc. ???

If anyone has a personal experience that'd be great to share. Thanks.

What should I expect from a high school physical?

Very little. The physician will take your blood pressure, listen to your heart and lungs and check to to see if you have a hernia. S/he will thump your kneecaps to check your muscle reflex. If you are a girl, you may be asked about your period; frequency painful or not. You may have a breast exam as even high school girls can get breast cancer.Regardless of sex, you should ask about the HPV vaccination.

What should you expect to get out of your high school experience?

Oh man. GOOD QUESTION, but there is going to be no correct answer. It depends. Why? I’m glad you asked. It depends mainly on you. What’s your personally like? What do you like to do? What don’t you like? Etc.And quite honestly, you may not be able to answer not even one of those questions. That’s okay! No worries! That’s what high school is for. You’re gonna learn a lot… yes, math, history, art, etc… but most importantly you’re gonna learn so much about yourself you didn’t even know. You remember being a kid and you want to be a police officer? That changed like 12 times by the time you went to high school and it’s still going to happen! You’re gonna learn a lot, your body is gonna change but most of all the main thing is live life and enjoy high school. ENJOY IT. SERIOUSLY.Go to school, have fun and enjoy the ride. Don’t regret anything. Everything is now a life lesson.Welcome to class :)

What should you expect your freshman year in high school?

As I recall from around a thousand years ago (well, twenty-odd), about the only significant difference from junior high or middle school is the culture shock of being the youngest people in the building.Sixth through ninth grade, kids are (roughly) all at the same level of development, physically and socially.  In high school, you start at that point (ninth or tenth grade, depending on your district) and the "older kids" are adults, who vote, are looking for jobs, and could be twice your size if you're small.  That's one of the big reasons there are so many fictional stories about evil upper-classmen picking on the freshmen:  It does happen at some schools, of course, but the fact that seniors are clear on the other side of puberty makes them seem like an alien species. If it's not already happening, I would also expect to increasingly get treated as if you're supposed to be a responsible adult.  Your explanation of why you didn't do your work or why you did something wrong is going to get ever-less likely to excuse your behavior.Otherwise, it's just the usual change.  Classmates move in and out over the summer.  Water fountains are usually higher off the ground.  Classes get more detailed.  The day starts earlier.
