What Type Of Bug Bit Her And How Can I Treat It

How can I treat a bug bite on the buttocks?

On your buttocks - quite easily; on someone else’s buttocks - with great care and (of course) with prior permission! But seriously, much the same as you would on any other part of your body, with a natural bite relief cream/balm. If there is impacting pain or discomfort you can take over-the-counter painkillers, such as ibuprofen (children under 16 years of age shouldn't be given aspirin). For itching – ask your pharmacist about over-the-counter treatments, including crotamiton cream or lotion, hydrocortisone cream or ointment and antihistamine tablets. For swelling, you can try regularly applying a cold compress or ice pack to the affected area, or ask your local pharmacist about treatments such as antihistamine tablets. And, if you're worried about a bite or sting and/or your symptoms don't start to improve within a few days or are getting worse consult your doctor!

How to treat infected bed bug bites?

It depends on how infected the bites are, it would be best to have a doctor take a look at them. In the meantime, wash them in antibacterial soap, and then apply some triple antibiotic ointment (like neosporin) and then put a band aide on. Keep the wounds clean and covered until they heal up.

Ferret bug bite?

Im pretty good with my ferrets, but I cant find a direct answer on this one, and I dont want to worry myself sick. My ferret, Paris, was scratching at herself, so I picked her up and saw something stuck on her skin. I thought it was like sticky hair or something, it wound up being a BUG. I believe it bit her, because her skin is broken. It was dead, and knotted up in her hair. I dont know if I should take her to the vet immediately? I cleaned the cut, theres no bleeding, and shes not scratching at it.. Is there something I can put on a ferret boo-boo?

What is the reason why bug bites swell?

Not 100% sure which bugs you are referring to here, but in the case of mosquitoes when the female of the species bites you to get blood (for protein for her eggs and not for nourishment) she also injects an enzyme to reduce blood clotting to make her extraction process easier. The resultant swelling you notice is really an allergic reaction to this enzyme from the mosquito. So in most cases the swelling noticed will be a susceptibility or allergic reaction to whichever insect is doing the biting.Obviously there is a whole range of other insects, wasps/bees/ants/scorpions etc that inject a ‘venom’ which causes a reaction all on its own and will cause a swelling with other more severe symptoms.

I have a bug bite on my foot?

Hey! This just happened to me yesterday, so I know what you are going through. Keep your foot elevated (propped up on pillows) to keep the swelling down. Also, tie an ice pack to your foot on your arch. That will help the swelling go down too. For the itch, take any bar of soap (make sure it is not something from bath & body works or something with a scent) and just lather it onto the bitten area. You will have to reapply this many times throughout the day for complete itch control. (You should reapply when it begins to itch again.) For hurting, you should lay pennies on it for 15 minutes. I realize that this may be hard because of it being on your arch, but it does work. The pennies do not have to be cleaned or anything. Do not use Gold Bond! It is a waste of money! Use rubbing alcohol or hydracortizone cream instead.

I am very allergic to bug bites from any type of bug, and I do these steps all the time. I hope this works, and I hope you start feeling better soon!

PS: If it continues to swell, take a benadryl or a Zyrtec pill. I take both, and they work wonders. If you are not an adult, ask your parent before taking these medicines because he/she might not want you taking them.
