Given all the thoughts, i'm undecided i could desire to shrink it to in basic terms one interest. i could want to determine a around robin experience (perfect of 7 sequence') such because of the fact here communities: 1927 Yankees 1908 Cubs 1919 White Sox 1998 Yankees 1975 Reds 1970 Orioles 1986 Mets 1994 Braves (they have been impressive till the strike, and that i could want to determine how they could have finished if a postseason surroundings existed) 1968 Cardinals 1964 Cardinals 1987 Twins (that is greater because of the fact i replaced right into a 7 300 and sixty 5 days previous youngster interior the Minneapolis section on the time, and lined for inner maximum nostalgic reasons, and not consistent with their "dominance" in any respect)

What is the significance of the following: The year is 1978, thirty-four minutes past noon on May 6th.?

The answer is...

It's 12:34PM, 5/6/78

OR

It's 12:34PM, May 6th, 1978

I wrote a diary in 1978 on the 1978 Yankees comeback year vs. Red Sox. What's a good name for my book?

Pinstripe Lightning

Ron Guidry held that team up early in the year until the rest of the players kicked it into gear. I went to a game he pitched (June 17 I think) against California (as they were called then) and he struck out 18. It was the first time I saw the fans all stand up and chant when a batter got 2 strikes on him. Now we see that all the time. Everyone will remember Bucky Dent's 'pop-up home run' but to me Louisiana Lightning set it all up. Without his performance the Boston Massacre games would have been just another late season matchup.

You could also do some play on words with lemons (from a Sox fan's angle?) considering it probably also helped that Bob Lemon replaced Martin that year.

What world events happened in the year 1978 ?

I started a data processing program at a technical school and installed the first computer there.

What went wrong for the 1978 TV series Battlestar Galactica?

Basically, I think it was ahead of its time.Like Trek, it suffered from studios which knew nothing about space, were still hung up on westerns, and had no idea what the show was about. Firefly was another one to suffer the same fate.Galactica though had one big difference. They released it first as a blockbuster movie. And then took it to tv. The movie worked, but the audience wasn’t there on the tv.Half way through the season, they cobbled parts of 2 episodes together, and released a second movie, which gave us Pegasus, but didn’t really work, and didn’t pull people to tv.Buck Rogers did the same thing. Movie release, followed by tv. It lasted less than half way into season 2, for much the same reasons as Galactica only lasted 1.And then, having cancelled Galactic, they moved it forward a decade or so, brought in new characters, and did half a season of 1980. Might have been another movie release, I’m not sure now. None of it worked. The original Galactica had a lot wrong. The writers knew nothing about space, and got heaps of things wrong. They used the wrong terms in dialogue. The whole theme made it into Disneyland and World for a long time after, but it never made it on tv.The remake was in the right time. And it worked. The same as Nextgen was the right time for Trek.

Where should I live in Spain for three months?

Depends how old you are and what you are looking for?As a 22 year old (in 1978) when I was looking for excitement I went to live and work in Barcelona. It was and still is an exciting and vibrant city , full of opportunities and interesting people and places. The time I spent there was THE best time of my life. You are also close to the beaches of the Costa Brava so have the best of both worlds. However, now that I’m older and although I still love to visit the city, I like quieter picturesque places such as Mijas which is still close enough to Benalmadena for a bit of nightlife if required. and of course has great beaches nearby.Granada is a beautiful city and has a lot of Moorish architecture ( if that’s what interests you) and is known for the beautiful Alhambra Palace.Or what about the capital, Madrid? Beautiful art galleries and museums and a bustling modern city, but no beaches of course.Spain is such a beautiful and diverse country I suggest you do some research ( perhaps via the Spanish tourist board which has lots of videos and information ). I’m sure you will find something to suit you.
