What Was The Most Delicious Meal You Had While On Vacation In A Foreign Country That You Will Never

Would you go look for a McDonald in a foreign country while vacationing?

Short answer: Probably not.Longer answer: Maybe if they had something special. McDonald’s and a lot of other fast food franchises in foreign countries have created special menus to adapt to that country’s tastes. China and Japan are two such places that come to mind. While I don’t usually actively seek out fast food when I travel, I might for something unique. If I’m not digging the local food or it’s been a lot of the same food over and over, I’ll gravitate towards a hamburger sometimes. I’m still something of a picky eater. But hey, if you want to wander into a McDonald’s from time to time during your trips abroad, don’t let anyone’s judgment stop you. Just do yourself a favor and don’t let it be the ONLY place you eat during a trip. There’s so much good food out there!

My BF is afraid to travel to foreign countries?

My boyfriend and I live in the USA. We have both lived in Maryland our whole lives, and he hasn't really traveled far from that state. I went to Jamaica once, which is an English speaking country and the only time that I have ever been out of the U.S.

We talk about traveling so often though that I have decided to surprise him with a trip to somewhere in the world. The problem is, I can tell that it makes my boyfriend uneasy when I talk about traveling outside of the U.S. It's not that he doesn't want to (he wants to see Berlin, Paris, Rome, etc.), but I think that he's afraid of the different languages and cultures in these countries. I think he is afraid that he won't be able to get around because he can only speak English. I am also afraid, but I don't want to let it stop me from doing what I want to do.

Is there anything that I can do or say to my boyfriend to convince him that traveling is not as scary as it looks? Is there anything else that we need to know about traveling around foreign countries? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Did anyone ever go to another country just for the food?

yeah, Japan for real sushi!

Where should I travel for a vacation? Why?

I am a 28 single male and have a yearning to explore. The past years have been filled with teaching and staying in my own home state. I need to travel. I found great places for destinations, but I am feeling indecisive.

If you were me (which you are not), what place do you think I should visit and why:
-Orlando
-New Orleans
-Portland, Oregon
-Las Vegas
