What Was Wrong With Me Yesterday On My Run

I have to find all of the run-ons, write out the wrong way then next to it write out the right way.?

here it is:
My worst experience of the week was going home for lunch, rather than eating at work. my children didn't know i was coming, they had used most of the bread. All i had to make a sandwich with were two thin, cumbled peices of crust. I sat there eating my tattered sandwich and trying to relax, then the telephone rang. It was for my daughter, who was in the bathroom, she called down to me that i should et the person's name and number. As soon as i sat down again, someone knocked on the door, it was a neatly dressed couple with bright eyes who wanted to talk with me about a higher power of life. I politely go rid ot them and went back to finish lunch. I thought i would relax over my coffee i had to break up a fight between my two youns sons about which television channel to watch. As a last bit of frustration, my daughter came downstairs and asked me to drive her over to a friend's house before i went back to work.

I just started running again after many months yesterday, and today my legs are slightly sore. Is it safe for me to run again today?

Continue running. If you can walk, you can run. Soreness is sweet pain which is an indicator that you are becoming active after long or you are doing an exercise your body hasn't done for long. There are some medicines which one can take if the soreness is a lot, however if you can walk, you are fine, just continue running. Try running with the same intensity, listen to your body, if it gets unbearable only then lower the intensity. Otherwise, there is no need. Remember to warm up and cool down before and after your run. You could warm up with running slower or walking but for cooling down you must stretch. To prevent hurting yourself, you should: 1. Watch out for shin pain, it happens courtesy deficiency of Vit. D which is very common these days;2. Eat well generally, have some form of protein 30-45 minutes post your run;3. Warm up and cool down;4. Have rest days atleast once a week (you could do active rest by just strolling around in park for 15-20 mins). Remember, more injuries are caused by over-training and not under-training; &5. Develop a good core and strengthen your muscles by doing sqauts, planks (different variations), push ups (there are many variations) and lifting weights.

What's wrong with me!? Im fit but I can't run for longer than 5 minutes?

Nothing is wrong with you.

You just haven't learned to pace yourself and most people at a young age have a well developed anaerobic base. However, an anaerobic base is usually good for sprints and short distances. The phrase "No matter how hard I try" isn't the issue. "Train smarter, not harder".

The basic rule of thumb for running is to first be able to COMFORTABLY cover the distance desired. If you want to run a 5K, then start by jogging 5K (3.1 miles) and work on increasing speed later. Find a friend you can run with and have a conversation with as you run or maintain a pace where you can comfortably breathe with your mouth closed. This will develop baseline endurance.

My chest and throat hurts while running, is this just being out of shape or a more serious problem?

I think it's a combination of both you being out of shape and the semi-cold weather. I'm sure that you've heard of cramps before. Most of the time we feel them in our diaphragm or lung area, but a cramp is actually not limited to those regions. Cramps happen when your body involuntarily has a muscle contraction, that is typically caused by fatigue or strain. So the pain you were feeling in your shoulder was most likely a cramp in your shoulder muscle. Cramps very often go away after your body starts building up some endurance.

That could be one reason why your chest hurts, but I think it most likely has to do something with the weather, even though it wasn't cold, dry air can hurt your chest and throat. Rapidly breathing cold, or semi-cold air through the mouth and into the lungs can cause chest pain and coughing. When you breathe air in through the nose, the small blood vessels near the nasal cavity warm and moisturize the air. As the moistened and warmed air moves down the airways and into the lungs, the body accepts it easily. However, most people breathe through the mouth while running. In this case, the air does not become warmed or moisturized. This cold, dry air irritates the airways slightly, causing chest pain and coughing. You shouldn't be too worried about it, unless it happens when you're running in warm environments which it sounds like it isn't. I don't think you have exercise enduced asthma, so don't run off to the doctor quite yet. Just keep your eye on it, and if you continue to have chest pains as the weather continues to get warmer and you get in better shape then it would be worth having a physical. But for now, just run and see if it goes away as you build your endurance. Hope that helps, feel free to message me if you have anymore questions.

Why does my guinea pig run away from me?

A guinea pig is always going to run from you when you try to pick it up. If you have owned the same guinea pig for fifty years, and you hold it all of the time, it is still going to run from you. It always will, no matter what. It is their natural instincts to run when they see something coming toward them. Guinea pigs are nervous rodents, seeing to that they are prey to a lot of animals.

So, there is nothing you can do to stop him from running from you. You could try comforting him, by reaching in to get him very slowly, and try to be calm around him.

Yes, it does have something to do with the fact that you just got him yesterday. But, he will still run.

I hope I could help!

Why is he giving me the run around?

I have been dating this guy for a a few weeks now and everrything has been going great. He has been wining and dining me and very sweet and funny. We havent had sex yet and he has not pressured me. He asked me to be his girlfriend and Im really happy. But now hes suddenly busy with school and out with the boys and doesnt make time for me. i asked him whats going on and he said hes just busy. I keep asking him to see me and he will agree and flake or say he will call and doesnt. I asked him if we should just be friends and he said no. I just need a little advice from someone with experience. Im so confused why hes suddenly acting this way!

Ankle soreness/pain after running?

This quick quiz below from Runnersworld could help you diagnose what could be wrong. If this problem persists check in with a doctor.

Q: Is the pain above your anklebone? Did you roll your ankle while running, shake off the pain, and continue? Did it hurt more the next day?

If the answer is yes, you could have an ankle strain or sprain, see [A] below. If not, read on.

Q: Does the pain bother you early in your run, disappear, and return after your run? Does it hurt when you're not running? Does it also hurt up the back of your leg?

If the answer is yes, you could have tendinitis, see [B] below. If not, read on.

Q: Are you unable to run on it? Is your ankle bruised and tender? Have you injured your ankle in the past?

If the answer is yes, you could have a stress fracture, see [C] below. Otherwise, consult your physician.

[A] A strain is an overstretched or partially torn muscle or tendon; a sprain is an overstretched or partially torn ligament. Care for minor strains or sprains early and you'll be running two to three times sooner than if you delay treatment. Use the R.I.C.E. method (rest, ice, compression, elevation), and take anti-inflammatories for 24 to 48 hours following injury. When you can stand on the injured leg and do several pain-free toe raises, that's a sign that you can start running (slowly) again, says Jayne Snyder, a physical therapist in Lincoln, Nebraska. If pain and swelling last beyond a week, see a sports-medicine specialist.

[B] Tendinitis is inflammation of a tendon, caused by excessive mileage, running in one direction on the track, improper shoes, low arches, or flat feet. Since there are several tendons in the ankle region, you could feel pain on all sides of your ankle. Reduce inflammation with ice (10 to 15 minutes several times a day), anti-inflammatories, and gentle stretching exercises, says Michael Bowman, M.D., consultant for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Cut back on mileage and find a softer running surface.

[C] Stress fractures are overuse injuries--tiny cracks form in your bone when your muscles can no longer absorb the shock of impact. Muscles transfer the stress to the bones, creating a crack, says Snyder. See a sports-medicine physician for X-rays. Rest, anti-inflammatories, stretching, and muscle strengthening are recommended treatments. Stress fractures take about six weeks to heal.
