In my middle school, we were not allowed to carry bags in the halls, so we kept our bags and books in our lockers and carried around the next class or two's books in arms. 4. Teachers usually give you a break the first week of school to get used to where your locker is. You'll remember, I promise! 5. No. get 1/2 inch or maybe a 1 inch binder. The homework is pretty light in middle school. Also if you are keeping all your binders in one locker, you'll need as much room as possible. If you run out of room in your binder you can take some old stuff out and keep it at home until you need it for a test or a final. p.s. have fun in middle school! don't take yourself too seriously :)
Why do students get home schooled?
I don't actually know anyone who knows of people who have been home schooled. Why would a student choose to be taught at home instead of in a school? What are the pros and cons? A major disadvantage I can think of is the fact that you're not around a lot of people to interact with which is pretty crucial in today's day and age. I'm just wondering out of curiosity.

In 4th grade my pants ripped so I went to the office and they only had one pair of sweatpants - they were hot pink and were size extra-large. I had to wear it the rest of the day - everyone laughed. In 1st grade my friend was holding my hand and keeping me from going to the bathroom and once she let go I sprinted to the bathroom, got to the stall, and bam, before I could even sit on the toilet I peed in my pants. I ended up tying my jacket around my waist the rest of the day and smelled of pee. In 9th grade I had a speech, totally spit out a huge amount of spit on someone's desk in front of me. Braces gave me a huge lisp. On the first day of 9th grade I tripped up the stairs in all 3 of my classes in front of everyone when we went to go get our books from the library and then I had also a door slam in my face on the first day as well. Throughout 9th and 10th grade my lunch broke many times on the upper level of the buildings in school and a few times I had an apple and it would roll down and land on the ground in the first floor. . . hopefully it didn't hit anyone. But this is the same but with my binder and papers, they would go flying many times and land all over the place leaving me to run after them and grab them all. When I was 13 years old I was in the playground with my mom's friend's daughter who was I think 3 or 4 years old. I was holding on to her, making sure she was being careful. I come back with huge sweaty dark stains on my shirt in my underarms. It was a really light pink shirt so anyone could see it. In a huge group for a presentation we were all working together (this was in 10th grade) and my crush was in the group. I had on my retainer (gave me a HUGE LISP and spitting problem -.-) and I was talking and everyone was watching and well, we had a poster board in front of us with all of the pictures for our project and well, I had a huge spit that landed right on the poster board in the middle.It was gross and embarrassing.
Non-Christian based Science homeschooling curicculam anyone?
Personally, I don't like curriculums - they're just as restrictive as regular school, and I believe part of the purpose of home schooling is freedom in learning. I recommend finding age-appropriate science books and letting your child lead the way. Supply the resources and let your child become a scientist. Do science experiments, spend time in nature, and read the works of prominent scientists. Subscribe to a few science journals, etc. (and this advice is by no means relegated to science.
