What is it like for Filipinos to live in Australia?

Really good question mate. I'm Filipino by blood and born and raised here in Sunny Australia. I can honestly say having been to the philippines and living how the locals do for quiet some time and comparing the various differences to Australia I without doubt have to conclude that Australia is a damn fine if not one of the best countries to live in. I'll break it down into two categories and try to keep it nice short and sweet.

The Good
-Living conditions are top notch
-Social services such as Fire,Ambulance,Hospital,Police,Garbage Collection and etc are very very efficient and more importantly not corrupt
-Work is plentiful and wages are good no matter what you do you make enough to have a comfortable life.
-The people on the level are very nice and respectfull to one another thus a very low crime rate compared to other countries
-We are a very multicultural society especially in the bigger cities and though racism is there only a small minority of people belong to it. Common to see interracial couples and the like. Basically everyone no matter race or creed is welcomed here.

The Bad
-Price of living is alittle bit high for my taste but we eat well and have good living conditions so just a small gripe that one
-Taxes suck too but we get a return each year unlike the Philippines so no reason to ***** really on that one
-The government projects like roads and schools take a long time to build for some reason
-Socially the people aren't as open as Filipinos are ie people sitting and talking in the streets where as here alot of people don't know their own neighbours
-Depending on where you live the weather conditions can be crazy ie the North experiences Cyclones quiet often and major floods

But yeah mate on the level I can honestly say I'm very lucky to be living here in Australia. Such a fine place to work, live and build yourself a bright future. Thats more I can say for alot of other countries who have it so bad in many ways. Though comparing the Philippines to Australia both countries have good and bad points as all countries do but if your looking at it from a lving and opportunity based view then Australia beats the Philippines hands down. The economy is solid and opportunity for a good future is available to all here. Where as in the Philippines if you don't work you die. Enough said mate.

Is living in London ok if u earn 2500 pounds per month?

You should be able to lead an average life, you wont be living anywhere like mayfair or hampstead of course but there are many places for you offering a great lifestyle which I am sure you will enjoy. Average wage was 28,000 last time i checked but it may have increased, if so not by much and you will have a fair amount of disposable income

Hope This Helps

I will make 35,000 this year and I am head of the household well I claim 1 child but I was told that its head of the household can anybody out there tell me about how much I will get back?????? I heard when you claim a child you are guaranteed 2500 I know I am asking now in the middle of the year but I need to know for financial reasons I am sure you guys out there can relate to that oh yea I claim single with one child. so does naybody know about how much i might get back? thanks so much for your input

I make about $2500 every two weeks, and after taxes and health insurance, get home with just under $500.?

There's no way you make $5000 a month - $60,000 a year - and pay $4000 a month for taxes and insurance.

But quite obviously, however much your car payment is - you can't afford it. Sell the car and buy something for cash, cheap.

How much do Uber drivers make in Melbourne and Sydney, Australia?

As Emily has mentioned, we make 80% of whatever the total for our week has been. The total for the week of course will depend on how many hours you decide to drive and how busy the busiest nights are - that's when you can really stack the scrilla.I've been driving Uber in Brisbane since the beginning of the year and like to drive a few hours of a busier night (Friday or Sunday) and a couple hours through the weekdays. I earn on average $200 for 10 hours. There's people who rack up 30+ hours across the weekend and can earn over $1000 gross. After deducting fuel and Uber's 20% it comes down to around $800 total for say 33 hours so you're looking at $24 per hour.Uber are also guaranteeing rates during certain hours. If you fall short due to a lack of pickups they will top up your account. The best hours are of course late Saturday nights where you can get a guaranteed $40 per hour for three hours. That's if you can put up with the traffic. The drunkards I'm fine with, but the chaos can really test one's patience. For what you might earn in Melbourne or Sydney really depends on how saturated the markets are now with Uber drivers. But I would bet that during the peak hours you would be earning more and for a longer period of time due to the greater populations. For the record the best I've done is $47 in one trip that took 20 minutes and $87 in one hour (both before deductions).

Is 100k AUD annually a good salary for a single guy in Sydney? Will I be able to live comfortably or it is a bit tight?

$100K/year rounds to $6110 net pay/month, according to pay calculator. If you want to live in the inner city (eg Darlinghurst, Surry Hills, Pyrmont, etc) without flatmates, then expect to spend $550 a week on rent of a 1 bedroom unit.Current monthly balance: $3910Utilities, such as electricity, gas, mobile and internet can cost you around $250 if you use them wisely.Current monthly balance: $3660Because you're in the inner city, it's unlikely that you will spend much on public transport. Some casual taxi/Uber rides as well, for your nights out! So let's say $25/week on public transport and $35/week on Uber.Current monthly balance: $3420Lunches may cost you $15–20 a meal, while that's $25–30 for a decent dinner. If you're eating out a lot — eg 7/8 times a week — then expect to use $700 a month with these. No drinks included.Current monthly balance: $2720With all the money you're left, you can have a pretty good life.Maybe tweak the points above and live more lavishly? :)
