What Will Clean Tranny Fluid Out Of Carpet In My Blazer

What are common causes of water leaking from under a car?

That depends on the quantity of water. It can only come from three places. The cooling system, or the windscreen washer system, or the exhaust.I'm pretty sure you can ignore the washer system. The exhaust will push out a small quantity of water as a natural result of the combustion of the fuel. It is obvious and will be evident as a small wet patch under the tail pipeI'm pretty sure you can ignore that too.If there is more than a very small puddle you probably have a coolant leak.Although why you should find the leak under your car at whatever moment  you found it is a bit of a mystery. Unless it started just after you parked, purely by coincidence. If you have over heated the motor it will cause the water in the cooling system to steam. This will cause a small puddle. The fact that it has over heated is cause for investigation. The other reason might be that there was too much water in the system and it overflowed as a result.Water expands as it gets hotter. There is often a header tank that is designed to accommodate the extra volume of hot water. By filling the header tank over it's maximum while the car is cool, you over fill it. When the car reaches operating temperature the water will overflow through the overflow hose.

How do I get transmission fluid off of clothes?

Hopefully you haven't put the stuff in the dryer, if you have, you need to go shopping for new clothes. Dryer heat will permanently set stains.

Three things to try- dish soap. Use full strength and scrub the stains. Let set overnight, then wash in hot water. Or, you could try baby powder (corn starch will work too) Just put plenty of it on the stains, and allow to set overnight. Or, you could get some GoJo from the auto parts store, and use that on the stains.

I guess as a last resort, you could get a few packages of Rit Red Dye, and color all the clothes lol.

How do I get the smell of mineral spirits out of my clothes?

I was in my painting class today and I happened to get alizarin crimson oil paint on my jeans and sweatshirt sleeve. I immediately went home after school and read up on how to remove the paint, and my mom's handy-dandy stain removing book said to flush the clothing with turpentine then rinse with cold water. We didn't have any turpentine at home, so I used the next best thing...low-odor mineral spirits. I followed the directions in the book and the paint came out completely and they look as good as new. Though, I don't know why they called the mineral spirits "low-odor" because after laundering my jeans and sweatshirt twice, the smell refuses to come out. Does anyone have any ideas at how to weaken or remove the smell?

Can I use soap and water to find a vacuum leak?

I've heard that you can pour soapy water into a spray bottle and listen for an idle change. They say rev the engine and when if you start to see bubbles that's where the leak is. Does this work? Ik the engine has be cold. If so warm water or cold water?
