What Will Happen If I Mix Manic Panic Rockin

Why doesn't Manic Panic work on my hair?

I have tried manic panic cupcake pink hairdye and it lasts for 3 days!!!!!!! i have natural blonde, fine hair. Also, other friends have also tried it and ended up with the same results....please help!

If I use developer with semi-permanent hair dye will it make it last longer?

I liked the color for Manic Panic's Rockin' Roll Red (it's a really fire engine red) but it faded pretty quickly and was wondering if developer would change that. Lemme know please♥♪♫‼

What is the best colorful hair dye, Manic Panic or La Riche?

LA RICHE DIRECTIONS is far superior to manic panic. Manic panic washes out far too soon. Meanwhile, the LA RICHE DIRECTIONS hair dye I put in my hair over a year ago is still vibrant! And blue, especially more aqua blues are particularly difficult to maintain. This color is over a year old and survived black rock city’s blazing son and harsh, dry conditions. Manic panic can’t even come close!

What are a few good alternative to manic panic hair color that are less drying and more vibrant? Please include product links if possible.

There are a lot to choose from, the options have really expanded in the last few years.Currently, I’m sporting Arctic Fox colors over a mix of other colors. Yes, over other colors. I did a minimal bleaching of my roots and a few select streaks. Arctic FoxFor blacklight reactive colors, I also like Pravana and Kendra Neons. Both of which have a pretty decent staying power and fade to pretty shades.Special Effects was another brand I favored when I could easily find it. They had a decent range of colors that were vibrant and lasted a decent amount of time.Manic Panic is alright if you like or plan to change colors often. They were designed to not be super long lasting.Splat! should be avoided in general. I know there are some that swear by it, but it is one of the brands many dislike, and many colorist cringe when they find out it was used on the hair.It really depends on budget, color desired and the desired end results/look trying to be achieved. Every brand has their better shades that they totally rock at making. Some brands make better reds, some better blues, etc.

how do you dye your hair without developer ?

Not sure why you would buy a dye designed to be used with a developer then want to not follow instructions and try to dye your hair that way.If a hair dye is designed to be used with a developer (not all are), there is a reason for it. Lots of research, science, and development went on to create the product to work a certain way. The two products are designed to work together to get the best results.Of course, there now seems to be a segment of the home DIY dying population that thinks they are reducing damage or something to not use products as they were designed to be used, as if the developer is some monster or evil in the hair dye world. You can of course try the dye without the developer it was designed to be used with. Depending on hair condition, previous hair dying/bleaching/perming/treatments, and health, it may take some of the color, be splotchy and spotty or just make a mess. If your hair takes any of the pigment at all it will wash out much faster than if it had been used properly and as it was designed to be used. Your results will not look like the promised end product because the steps and products required for the end result advertised were not used. The developer is used to help open the cuticle of the hair so that the hair takes the dye. The cuticle needs to be opened so the pigments can get into the hair. The makers of the dyes that require developer created the dye to work a specific way, which requires the developer. The need to mix the developer into the dye is not some clever ploy to get more money or secretly damage a customers hair, it is a necessary chemical step in making the dye work as intended to get the results shown on the package. Skipping that step can result in a badly botched dye job, and more money being spent at a licensed professional to correct the screw up the DIY home dyer made.
