Jews do you guys have any special sayings?
Yep, we've got a lot, to the point of being incomprehensible to outsiders (see http://www.bangitout.com/articles/viewar... , for example). Here are some of them: B'ezrat Hashem or Im Yirtza Hashem- it's the equivalent of your Inshaalah. Literally, "With God's help" and "If God wills it". Baruch Hashem- Thank God Refuah Shelaimah- Complete recovery Mazel Tov- Congratulations Chas V'Shalom- God forbid (also Chas V'Chalila) Bli/Kain Ayin Hara- No evil eye (like your Mashaallah) Lo Aleinu- May this not happen to us (literally, "Not upon us") L'Havdil- Literally, "to separate". Used when comparing two things that are so different, it's practically sacrilegious to have them in the same sentence. Yasher Koach- Good job, congratulations Z"TzaL- Said/written after the name of a great person who died. An acronym for "the memory of the righteous is a blessing" Shlita- Probably an acronym for something else. Said after the name of a living righteous person.
