What Will I Have For Dinner A. Cook A Nice Healthy Meal B. Bacon And Eggs On Toast C. Take Out

Is it healthy to eat 2 eggs and 2 strips of bacon every morning for breakfast? Should I be concerned about my cholesterol with this daily breakfast?

Eggs are generally fine, although it depends on what you cook them with (eg. olive oil vs butter), and bacon is a high salt very high fat cut of meat which is a lot worse for you than many other meats. So yes, if that was reflective of your entire diet you are right to be concerned about your diet, however if it forms part of a balance regime then you’ve a lot less to worry about.Meal to meal, what you actually eat doesn’t matter nearly as much as what you consume day to day, week to week etc. Sustained poor diet can cause major health problems, or won’t do much to prevent health problems from developing; conversely, a sustained good balanced diet (to modern standards) can prevent or limit a huge range of health problems for developing. So as long as you don’t have much (if any) salt or fat for the rest of the day, and have large servings of vegetables and carbs, a little dairy and fruit, you’ll be fine.Like I said, one off days where you eat lots of junk aren’t likely to do much more than dehydrate you and give you major sugar highs and lows, it’s the sustained poor diet as a balance across days to weeks that you have to worry about.

What are some easy meals that I can cook for dinner for my boyfriend while his mum's in hospital?

Bacon, eggs and toast.

Grilled cheese sandwiches with soup (canned soup).

Pasta ... cook the pasta, heat up the sauce and cook up some meat, mix together.
- Tomato sauce with ground beef
- Alfredo with sautéed chicken breast strips or with shrimp or with cooked diced bacon.
Even better with sautéed mushrooms and grated cheese (cheddar or parmesan with tomato sauce, parmesan with alfredo sauce)
Serve pasta with a green salad.
Garlic bread is nice, too.

Other easy meals:
- Cook up a steak or pork chop in a frying pan. Or roast a chicken in the oven.
- Serve with steamed vegetables or a salad, and a baked potato.

Tacos: taco shells, ground beef, shredded cheddar cheese, thinly-slice lettuce, thin tomato wedges, taco sauce

Pizza: buy uncooked pizza shells, canned pizza sauce, shredded mozzarella, and whatever kind of toppings (or none) that you like.
Best to serve with a green salad.

Hot dogs in toasted rolls. Options of: diced onion, mustard, ketchup, relish
Served with macaroni and cheese (OR potato chips instead) and cole slaw.
Or sloppy joes on toasted rolls, served with the same.

Tuna fish sandwiches .. mix in mayonnaise, a bit of sweet pickle relish. Spread onto toasted bread, add lettuce. Serve with potato chips.

Why do we think of bacon and eggs as breakfast food?

Propaganda. Edward Bernays was the leader of this. he actually coined "Public Relations" because the term propaganda was tainted by the Germans during WW2

One of Bernays's favorite techniques for manipulating public opinion was the indirect use of "third party authorities" to plead his clients' causes. "If you can influence the leaders, either with or without their conscious cooperation, you automatically influence the group which they sway", he said. In order to promote sales of bacon, for example, he conducted a survey of physicians and reported their recommendation that people eat heavy breakfasts. He sent the results of the survey to 5,000 physicians, along with publicity touting bacon and eggs as an ideal heavy breakfast, and superior for health to the then traditional breakfast of tea (or coffee) and toast.

Is eating 2 scrambled eggs with 2 peices of bacon healthy for breakfast?

most certainly NOT!

eggs are high in cholesterol and insoluble proteins.. which means you'll have elevated lipid counts.. and triglycerides.. same goes with bacon..

sorry dear... ever hear of fresh fruits and vegetables?

people, the reason why you're so tired and overweight and need supplements is because you start you day off rotten!

same goes for those who only eat cereal for breakfast.. cereal is inert material and full of chemicals and sugars... then adding cows milk to the process is the straw that breaks the camels back so to speak.

eat a proper diet rich in whole foods NOT processed foods...

Does anyone still eat eggs and bacon for breakfast?

Yes they do. I make it a point to fix my family a good hearty breakfast on the weekends, usually Sunday. During the week it's rush here, rush there. Between work and kids off to school, time is an issue. So on Sunday I put on the works,.... eggs scrambled or an omelet, bacon, sausage patties, sausage biscuits and gravy, hash browns or grits (it's a southern thing :) fresh fruit and milk. Now keep in mind that it's only a weekend thing and that's my special treat that the family looks forward to and we can all sit down and be together.

What is a romantic and easy meal to cook?

This is super easy and soooo good. It tastes as good as any great italian restaurant.

Quick Chicken Parmesan

4 Boneless Chicken Breasts, pounded flat
1 jar Spaghetti Sauce (I use Prego mushroom and garlic)
3 oz. Mozzarella Cheese, grated
2 cups Italian Bread Crumbs
2 oz. Parmesan Cheese
1/2 tsp garlic salt
1 egg, plus 1 tbs water, slightly beaten

Mix Italian breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, and garlic salt together in bowl. Beat 1 egg in another bowl, 1 tbs water and a dash of garlic salt. Dip chicken in egg, then in crumbs and fry in oil until brown on each side (10 – 15 min each side). Pour spaghetti sauce over chicken and sprinkle with cheese, cover so cheese melts and serve. Makes 4 servings.

Creamy Fettuccini Alfredo

1 – 8 oz. Package Philly Cream Cheese (I use the light version – 1/3 less fat), cubed
¾ cup (3 oz.) fresh grated Parmesan cheese (I like De Giorno, don’t use Kraft)
½ cup margarine (I use I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter Light)
½ cup milk or half and half (I use 1% or 2% low fat)
8 oz. fettuccini, cooked, drained (I use the fresh Contadina low fat one)

In large saucepan, combine cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, margarine and milk.
Stir over low heat until smooth. Add to drained fettuccini and toss lightly. Sprinkle with fresh Parmesan cheese if desired. Makes 4 servings

What are a few great meals to cook for a single person?

I love to cook.  It's a chunk of time I can spend in the kitchen engaged in a creative activity with love in me wee heart that pleases and nourishes my family.Except, well, when I'm on my own I'm tempted to got for powdered iced-tea, peanut butter and a spoon. So, single-dude meals:1.  Breakie — Toss yoghurt, a little juice (something clear, like apple or grape) and some granola in a blender.  Blend.  Consume.2.  Lunch — Splash some olive oil in a pan on medium heat til it starts to smoke, then lay in a couple slices of rye or sourdough bread.  Yank 'me out, pile on some pastrami or Montreal smoked meat, add mustard like it's your last day alive and break canon by adding something like Swiss cheese.3. Dinner — Options!a.  Roast a whole damned chicken.  Rub it with olive oil, hide some garlic cloves and rosemary under its appendages, squeeze a lemon's worth of wedges over it, then sprinkle salt & pepper over it.  Do 10 minutes in the oven at 450°, then turn it down to 350° and cook covered for another 60 minutes. Yank. Let it rest for 10 minutes before cutting up.  Bird's had a tough day.b.  Rub olive oil onto a steak and season with salt and pepper.  Sear that sucker on high heat on both sides, then turn down the heat and cook for 2-4 minutes on each side depending on thickness and cut of the meat.  I'd serve with some potato wedges similarly seasoned with oil, salt & pepper and roasted for 45 minutes.c.  Tomato sauce in a sauce pan on medium heat.  Add some chopped kalamata olives, capers and oregano to pretend you're classy.  Poke the gently bubbling sauce with the wide bottom of an egg at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o'clock.  Then crack the eggs and gently pour the eggs into the sauce.  Season with salt and cracked pepper.  After 2 minutes, grate something like parmigiana or (my personal favourite) pecorino. Serve on toast.4. Bonus round — snack!  Rinse a can of chickpeas in a colander then dry them off with paper towel.  Lay them flat on a baking sheet and toss them in a tablespoon of olive oil, a half teaspoon of salt and some other flavour.  (I've tried paprika, lemon pepper, chili powder and a couple other flavours on different occasions.). Roast at 400° for 20 minutes.Get your nom on.

What are your favorite breakfast and dinner meals when camping?

One backpacking trick is using liquid nitrogen to hard freeze a few choice steaks. Bring along some foil wrapped potatoes and a bag of durable greens. Then, on your first night out, you have a dynamite meal to reward yourself for getting the hell out of town. The budget version of this involves a large spaghetti and meatball dinner with garlic bread on the side. Carbo-loading is your friend when hiking in the back country. As to breakfast, usually waking up involves a certain degree of discomfort due to low temperature or just a bunch of aching muscles. Here, simplicity is a virtue. Before doing anything else, get a pot of water boiling for tea, coffee or cocoa. If anything, before going to bed have the stove or kindling ready to light with a covered pot of water already on it. A warm beverage makes the indignities of a cold morning a whole lot more tolerable. Some whiskey or Kahlua can help adjust the surliest attitude. I'm not a big fan of granola so an outdoor breakfast is more likely to include sausages or canned bacon plus some eggs. Car camping (as opposed to backpacking) opens up a wealth of gourmet possibilities due to the availability of cold storage and a better equipped kitchen.Again, to speed things up, boiling up some potatoes the night before makes hash browns for breakfast happen at warp speed. If there are abundant leftovers of steaks or some other meat my favorite thing is to make a hash topped by grated cheese and poached eggs.French toast is relatively simple to do when car camping, at least compared to pancakes. Just be sure to have adequate quantities of butter along. Jam stands in just fine as a substitute for maple syrup.Fried egg sandwiches spread with deviled ham or turkey plus a slice of cheese can be very satisfying morning fare. They're easy on the budget and quick to prepare.Toasting premium sausages over a campfire is a time honored tradition. Rinse and repeat with marshmallows for dessert.

What are healthy dishes that are both affordable and easy to make?

While it is highly subjectly, as per the definition of healthy, affordable and easy, this particular question makes me think of lent gastronomy. Must be the season. I think of romeritos, quelites, habas, verdolagas (that would be...suaeda mexicana, amaranth leaves, fava beans and  pigweed) and other abundant herbs of the season in Mexico. The preparation can not be easier: clean the herbs, saute or vapor them, sauce them and serve. They are healthy; plenty of carbs and protein, and with some care on the selection, even low in sodium, potassium or metals absent. And they are cheap. A bunch of quelites weighting about four pounds can be purchased by about usd$ 1.50. Then of course, this is highly local. Pretty sure that quelites, if you found them in the USA,  would be more expensive, with drives me to the whole point in the answer, sorry for the tangent.I believe that the ultimate answer to your question lies in the traditional cuisine, culture and customs of your place. See, I above mentioned traditional Mexican lent cuisine. That, of course, would be hardly applicable to, let say, an elderly gent living in Japan. But then, we have the traditional cuisine of Japan, and this elderly gentleman would have a nice meal with rice, soya, sweet potatoes, seafood, etc. Of course, there are certain maladies associated with a particular style of living. For example, this Japanese old folk would probably need to decrease his consumption on salt... And for that, the customs can be wise again. There is a Japanese saying that frowns on elderly people eating umebushi, just to prolong the example. So the answer lies on acquiring interest on what you eat, and to extend this interest to what others have traditionally eaten there.
