What Will You Do When Obama Signs An Executive Order Making It Illegal To Criticize Libs Due To

Is Donald Trump going to win the presidential election in 2016?

Wow. Are you a head case. A person stands for our security at the border and is pro USA for manufacturing and jobs and you call him essentially a racist.
It show how you on the left hate America and Americans with your propaganda and lies.

What can the conservative americans do to show Obama that we are not a joke?

First,
How do you consider Reagan stupid? He was one of the best presidents this country has seen. I will admit he does not rank among Washington and Lincoln, but he was an amazing president

Second,
The tea parties DID protest laws that Bush supported, please stop affiliating me with that president. I may agree with Bush on some issues, but I also agree with Obama on some issues, that does not mean I like either one of them.

I told my progressive friend that Trump's presidency means America wants change, yet he didn't really see it that way. Am I wrong?

You can both be right. My personal opinion? Both of you are right.Americans can be stupid and ignorant—as much as any other group of humans.True believers of both parties found their candidates by scraping the bottom of their septic tanks—and they expected the American public to find that palatable.Trump? He is an unabashed narcissist. But he wasn’t inexperienced (he had more executive experience than Obama, which was exactly zero). And Trump certainly wasn’t racist. That’s echo-chamber campaign talk. (Though, he’s no saint as a businessman either.)Other option? Hillary. A smug, condescending politician, who’s been in D.C. for decades dealing influence for cash at the expense of Americans. Barely a pretense otherwise. The epitome for what half of the country absolutely despises about Washington D.C.Stupid and ignorant? Newsflash: both sides call the other side stupid and ignorant. If Hillary had won, conservatives would be saying the same thing. Slinging these opinions doesn't say much.So why did Trump supporters vote for Trump? The easiest way to find out, is to ask them. And they overwhelmingly tell you a few things, which can be distilled into one point:On the issues they cared about, Trump was highly preferable to Hillary.Voting for Trump was stupid and ignorant. But, it can be fairly argued—at least for many Americans—that voting for Hillary would probably have been more stupid and more ignorant. And that’s why so many people could hold their nose and voted for Trump. Many lefties have no conception whatsoever about why people thought Hillary was so terrible. The progressive left has intentionally developed a systemic inability to understand the other side’s perspective. For tactical reasons. They parrot asinine talking points like, “But you’re voting against your own interests!” To which farmer Bob and machinist Dan laugh and say, “Who are you to tell me my interests?!” It's bad strategy. Was Trump’s election a rejection of doing the same? I think Michael Moore summed up popular sentiment very well:There are other candidates I would have preferred. But I don't think Trump will be that bad. He'll bumble, he'll misstep. We're overdue for a recession. And his opponents will complain no matter what. He might be chaotic, but he's not evil.

Are liberals so comfortable with the idea of Mike Pence as president that they want to impeach President Trump?

My answer is based on working with Democratic politicians going back some 50 years. In those years I also was fortunate enough to meet and befriend several Republican office holders and strategists.A real politician is at heart a pragmatist. Politicians know that their chances of survival depend on what the public mood is. All politicians will tell you they have principles, whether liberal or conservative. But all of them are willing to bend or ignore those principles for the public good and for their own political well-being.Mike Pence is a politician. I may not agree with 90% of his beliefs, but I have seen one very important thing which sets him apart from Trump. He’s willing to abandon his beliefs in the face of public pressure. Trump isn’t.When Pence pushed for and got that draconian “religious freedom” bill in Indiana, the bill that opened the way for blanket discrimination against the LGBTQ community, before the ink was dry, businesses, celebrities, sports groups, entertainers and common people unleashed a tidal wave of condemnation. State and city governments forbade their employees from traveling to Indiana on business. Concerts and plays were cancelled. Businesses threatened to leave the state. Conventions were cancelled. Pence and the GOP legislature were caught off guard. So the man who had not long before declared “I am a Christian first. . .” immediately ordered the legislature to amend the language to be non-exclusionary. In short order, a new bill was presented Pence, who signed it. Less than 10 days had passed from the original bill’s signing to the new bill’s signing. In that 10 days, Pence’s “Christian-first” beliefs went out the window and he bowed to public pressure. That is pragmatism and that is what real politicians do.Pence has proven to be a politician first, a politician who understands what it means to be a politician. Trump has no such background, instead being an autocrat who is accustomed to getting his way, no matter who gets hurt or what the consequences are. He won’t last long. Pence, while in my opinion is flawed, will be a much saner, safer President.
