I am a very sensitive person, small things bother me a lot. And then my mind keeps thinking about those petty issues for days. I want to be a stronger person who doesn't get affected by irrelevant things. What should I do?

I don’t know if anyone already has told this, but what I am about to tell works like a charm for me. I was also a very sensitive person and now I’m proud to say I came out of the sensitive circle.All I did was started forgetting, yes you read that right, I started to FORGET things. We forget a lot of things in our day to day life. Why not apply this to our problem and come out of it?But this came with a bane for me, I started to forget almost everything. I needed more practice to stream what kind of thoughts to be forgotten.I come from a lower middle class family where securing a job after degree was the top priority in order to help the family. But to my fate, I lost three golden opportunities from world class companies because I was sensitive and whined about the lost opportunities and did not concentrate on another. This bothered me a lot and that is when I decided to change myself into a stronger person than I was.How did I just like that forget things? My single shot on helping my family was taken away and how did I just like that forget? I’m a movie addict and watch a lot of movies, tv series and such.This may sound lame to some, even my own family thought I lost my mind as when I had to concentrate on getting a job than watching movies in my computer. But it helped me ease my mind and let things go. I watched comedy movies, laughed my heart out and stayed out of reality for a while. I came out fresh after a months time, and started looking for a job again and got one.What I’m trying to tell is being sensitive about things and thinking about it not only is a waste of time and energy but also an anchor pulling you down from moving forward.Everything is in our own mind, contemplating, confusing and achieving is all in our hands. Please help! How to make a model of the human heart out of plaster?

Having bought the plaster, you would be better off making a bowl or round shape for the base rather than carving back from a block. Plaster does not stay soft because it dries/sets chemically so you would be doing more work with a block that is not the right shape. But plaster has the interesting feature that you can both carve away and add material. This latter feature is not often discussed in lower level school art classes because it is time sensitive - you have to have your base model wetted somewhat and mix the plaster you want to add on and apply it as a thick paste and then clean up after yourself to continue. It is much easier in class to cast a block and tell students to carve it like soft marble.
I would make the base model either using a soft plastic bag that could be molded and shaped by pushing on the material to a rough ball/ovoid shape or cast a cylinder in a cardboard tube/cereal box shape lined with thin plastic and then peel off the plastic when set.

Teeleeecee has the right answer but it's called,"Fight or Flight Response". It's a normal body reaction to those conditions that you've described, your first instinct is to either run and hide and when your scared most people don't know if they should "fight" to defend themselves or run and hide. Your body becomes nervous and your heart reacts by beating faster causing your body to go into over load. It just means that your a nervous person by nature. Try meditation, I know it sounds corny but it may help you to relax or perhaps some therapy to find out why your such an apprehensive person. I used to be like that but that's because I grew up with so much stress in my life as a youth I didn't know how to deal with it. I was always stressed like you, I did eventually go into therapy and got a grip on my self and my life and now I'm very easy going and my husband call me his rock.
