What Would Cause A Person To Experience A Swollen Pulling Feeling In The Neck From The Upper

After using a weed eater I experience extreme weakness in arm and hand?

Not to worry, it actually happens to a lot of people. I usualy get stuck with a lot of weedwhacking, and it still happens to me. Especially with the electric ones. They usually run on full so the weedwhacker vibrates a ton, and it can be caused by the vibrations of the engine and the string whipping around, plus you have to hold the thing in your arms. The string is usually thin on the electric models too so if you're going after weeds, they have to be whipped for quite awhile before the string starts cutting through their stems, and since it's hitting them full force it jerks around quite a bit in your hands as it slaps them around, making things even worse for you. It will go away slowly over time, but also go out and get a pair of vibration-dampening gloves, they really can go a long way in reducing your shakes!

Does cracking one's neck and spine cause any damage?

There's two answers to your question, it all depends on how you are cracking the joint. In my field the use joint calvitation instead of cracking but Ill use cracking to keep it simple. The noise heard happens because you break the joint seal, sometimes gas pockets form within the joint and by popping this joint seal the gas escapes. The effect is similar to putting a finger in your mouth on the inside of your cheek, covering it with your lips and then flicking it out of your mouth as the seal created by your finger is broken. Now what do I mean by 2 answers? 1) If you're cracking it within its normal range, you're probably ok. An example for the neck would be nodding your head or turning it from side to side as if sayinga non-verbal no. This is because this is what your bones were made to do. All the surfaces are lined up so that they'll back into place with no issue. 2) Any combination where you're going to extremes of a mix of these motions and you may be setting yourself up for trouble. Not because of the cracking noise itself but because you may carry those joints to a point in which the bony surfaces get to a point where they don't align and when you try to come back the bones get stuck out of place. This is especially true if the ligaments have been loosened by doing something which repetitively challenges them. This situation is similar to how a drawer can get stuck after you pull it out at an angle. An example of what not to do would be looking up at the ceiling and then cracking it by turning your neck to the side. I probably would not recommend this.I used to crack my fingers a lot in high school but eventual worked my way out of the habit even though it's not inherently bad for you. The neck and spine also do contain a spinal cord, and in the case of the neck, the vertebrae have 2 of the 4 arteries supplying your brain that basically run through them so I would be a bit more careful cracking things in this area if I were to give you any advice.

Why did removing my wisdom teeth cause neck pain?

It could be related to your mouth , the opening width , and , the length , or shortness of your neck .The location of the teeth , the force required to extract , them , any resistance , if you were awake during the work , or if you were unconscious , the positions your dentist had to put your head in to complete his work. You may have developed a misalignment , while asleep , a lot of people complain of waking up with a “ Crick in the Neck “ after sleeping in their own bed , nothing different in habits , just woke up that way.

Back/neck pain and tingling arm?

You need to get an MRI to find out what is going on with your spine. This sounds like a bulging disk to me, and you need to find out how bad the rupture is. If you have a really bad rupture, no amount of physical therapy is going to fix it. Right now, you might be wasting a lot of time and money on therapy and drugs.

Yes, get some pain medication. There is no reason for you to suffer like this. Then tomorrow get an appointment to get an MRI.

Trust me on this one. I ruptured a disk in my neck (biking accident). The rupture was 8mm. I had surgery to remove the disk and put in hardware and recovered wonderfully. After the accident, I had radiating pain into both hands that had me in tears constantly. I couldn't stand for my hands to be touched or for any air to blow on them. It was awful. I was on pain meds for a while, which did nothing really for the pain but just made me not care so much. Then I was put on neurontin which knocked 90% of pain straight out. I stayed on it until I had my surgery.

Then a couple years ago, I ruptured a disk in my lower back. I had three surgeries to try to fix it. The ruptures were 8mm, 8mm, and 12mm respectively. For the third surgery, I had the disk removed completely. The pain I had for months prior to that last surgery was excruciating. The pressure on my nerve was so intense, I lost the feeling in my left leg. After the surgery, all my pain was gone. It's been a year now, and I feel great. I have no pain anymore and I'm getting back in shape.

Sorry to ramble. I sure hope you don't have a severe problem. However, if you do, it's better to know now so you can figure out your options. Don't do therapy if it will be ultimately futile. I did therapy and spinal injections. Nothing worked because you can't get a disk, impinging 12mm and broken into three pieces, to somehow miraculously put itself back together and back in place.

Get your pain meds. Get your MRI. Good luck, dear.

Why do I get neck pain when I drink alcohol?

Fact 1: Alcohol addiction from two parts per thousand disguises the painThe central nervous system (CNS) is an important target organ of alcohol.Alcohol comes as a small molecule through each cell wall of the body, is quickly absorbed and quickly distributed in the body. For more detail visit this article. After drinking alcohol, it is already absorbed in the mouth and throat area. The main part, however, is absorbed by the body in the stomach and small intestine. How quickly alcohol is absorbed and thus also develops its pain-relieving effect depends on whether you have eaten before, as well as the type of alcohol.Carbonated drinks, such as sparkling wine, accelerate alcohol intake, as they mechanically irritate the stomach and intestinal wall and promote the circulation of the mucous membrane.Scientific studies have shown that alcohol attacks specific neuronal areas. This involves so-called receptors and signaling pathways of neurotransmitters.acetylcholineAlcohol causes a decreased acetylcholine concentration.Acetylcholine receptors are found on the musculature, brain and heart. The effect on the musculature leads to the known uncertain gait. The heart, in turn, beats slower. In addition, the unsafe movements probably also result from a reduction in blood flow in the cerebellum, which is responsible for the course and coordination of the motor system.dopamineAlcohol causes an increase in dopamine and thus a positive influence on the body's brain reward system as well as an improved moodSerotonin and norepinephrineAlcohol causes a decrease in the neurotransmitters serotonin and norepinephrine. This increases aggressive and depressive behavior.Endorphins and enkephalinsIncreased alcohol consumption leads to an increase in endorphins and enkephalins.

How is it possible for a person to fake a back injury?

Easy! Back pain is the most common complaint in the World. They can do x-rays, they can do MRI and they might come back normal, but the person still complain of back pain. The Doctor can even give the person a physical and see they are a bit stiff. However, a good Doctor will do a blood test and look for the markers of inflammation, monitor that over a few months and then walk away from the Patient.
I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and a disc problem. I have to take drugs on a daily basis, like it or not for the rest of my life, a anti-inflammatory drug everyday without fail!
Anyway one day I went to see my Doctor who was in his office, window open wearing short sleeve shirt. I walk in wearing my fleece jacket and he says 'Do you think it is warm or cold in my office?' I replied 'Just a bit cold' and he burst out laughing? I then asked what was going on and he replied 'I know you are taking your drugs'. Simple, did not have to ask, take any blood test, he could tell by what I was wearing IF I was taking my drugs like a good Patient. If I was not taking my drugs, he would have examine me and then say 'Take the drugs'. Or he would have examine me and said 'Nothing I can do' knowing full well I was not taking my drugs, so why waste his time.
People who 'fake' health problems are digging a hole for themselves and later in life it will catch up with them, because Doctors have these little ways of knowing if you are on the drugs or not, without the Patient knowing! Best of Luck

Little white bumps on lips - they feel like sandpaper and burn!!?

sounds like an allergic reaction to me, and sounds like something that happened to me before

have you started using a new chapstick or lipstick or lip gloss? if you have, quit using it ASAP. you are probably having an allergic reaction to something new that you've put on your lips or eaten (more than likely something you put on your lips)

i tried a new chapstick (the new one by Chapstick, that's 100% natural) and i 'broke out' to it like how your describing. i've broken out twice before like that one was from Chapstick and the other time was from a nother brand of chap stick. my lips, when you looked really close, had white bumps on them, and they felt sandpaper-ish and they were dry, like i got a sunburn on my lips. it got so bad that i had to go to the doctor and get a steriod- predisone for the swelling (yea, i had some funky looking lips for about a week) but i got better, i was on pred. for about a week or so, but the first time i broke out, i quit using the chap stick that i started using for the first time and used vasaline and it went away in about a week

go and buy you some carmex, you can get that at RiteAid or any other drug store and try that for a little while or try some vasaline on your lips- that will help sooth them- but most importantly- to make sure your not allergic to the vasaline or carmex, but it on a SMALL part of your lips, wait over night or a day and if that spot gets worse, then don't use it, if it doesn't use it. i highly doubt you'll be alergic to vasaline or carmex
