What Would Lebanon Do If Hezbollah Failed To Stop Isis

Why is Lebanon unable to beat the IS and Hezbollah back into Syria?

Beating IS would require equipment better than the ones we have, and that is hard to acomplish considering they may end up in Hezbollahs’ arms. But they are being faught in the northerm towns in Lebanon were they are pesent, besides the army is stretched thin and is required to be present almost everywhere. Now Hezbollah is a different issue, as it is both a political party and a state with in a state, besides it was created in Lebanon to fight Isreal. So kiking them into Syria is not really an option as they already are present here and their, ofcorce them being in Syria is far off from their goal. That is not all, they are well armed and have tremendous support, but dor now they are not going anywhere.

Would Lebanon end up like Syria if it wasn't for Hezbollah's strong military and political presence?

There are 2 sides to approach this:Supporter’s point of view: they'd say if it wasn't for Hezbollah’s presence, they would've taken over Lebanon. As the Islamic State fighters attempted to do in Arsal, but failed — credit the Lebanese Army as well.Opposer’s point of view: they'd say the only reason ISIS would attack Lebanon is because of Hezbollah. Since Hezbollah is fighting in Syria (alongside the regime), they're slowly dragging Lebanon into a battle we shouldn't be taking a part in.

If Hezbollah didn't exist, would Lebanon and Israel be at peace?

Israel has had a peace treaty with Egypt since 1978 and with Jordan since 1994. The relationship between Israel and these two countries are hardly what can be called Peace. The nearest description would be non-belligerency. Since Israel does not make a habit of attacking its neighbors, as long as Israel is not attacked there exists a state of non-belligerency with the remaining Arab countries as well, even though technically they still consider themselves in a state of war with Israel. In the case of Lebanon, as long as Hezbollah isn't firing missiles into Israel, Israel is nearly as "at Peace" with Lebanon as it is with Egypt and Jordan. The utopian dream of real Peace with the Arab world, if it ever becomes reality, will only be a possibility when the conflict with the Palestinians is resolved, one way or the other, or the Arab world drops their support for the Palestinians, though I can't see any realistic scenario where that could happen.

Will Israel attack Lebanon next?

Israel has lost the plot. Both Hamas/Hizb and Israel are to blame. Israel wouldn't do anything more than retaliate. However they are unpredictable and seem to have immunity from war crime allegations. Hamas have a lot to answer for. These countries must focus on stability and economic growth. People won't fight if their bellies are full. Often there is civil unrest and then exploitation via extremist groups. See Palestine. People are frightened emotional scars in their children will turn them into zealots. Destruction of communities and generations will only prolong this situation. Hamas have nothing to lose. The victims are both Palestine and Israel. Palestinian government has no choice but to include Hamas in its government. The West should provide them with the power to destroy Hamas but it doesn't for fear weapons will fall into wrong hands. True. But then Palestine can't rid itself of Hamas. So many outsiders have infiltrated Palestine to retaliate against Israel. Let's be clear that Hamas is a parasite to Palestine. However Israel is INFLEXIBLE but is also continuing with its occupation. So what does Israel expect - no peoples will tolerate invasion. It's not the other way. Palestine doesn't want to occupy Israel. The basis of this war is Israel's doing. So it is culpable. Given the vacuum in Iraq thanks to George W Bush, and the Syrian conflict the whole territory is becoming bigger than Afghanistan. That is the real worry. We have many heads on the devil: Israel, Hamas, Hezbollah, ISIS, Iran involvement etc. In some ways you can understand why Israel feels besieged. But if it stopped its occupation, it would have the moral authority to defend itself. Israel cannot have its cake and eat it too. Back to Lebanon - your government must act to stop these militants from extending ISIS into Syria. This new game is all thanks to AMERICA and the WEST for illegally invading Iraq and destroying it. They were misled probably by Israel. The world has to learn lessons but some lessons are too late and irreversible. This conflict will grow nastier and we are already looking at massive destruction of lands where rebuilding will take hundreds if years. This is an apocalypse in the making. And who started the fire? Israel.

Is it true that Hezbollah is protecting Lebanon from Israel invading Lebanon? That said, would Israel invade Lebanon if Hezbollah was not there?

Israel has no claims or interest in invading Lebanon.Israel has acknowledged the international border with Lebanon in 1947.The northern border of Israel was a very calm boarder with very few incidents over the years, the Lebanese army since 1947 did not fight against Israel.it was always said that Lebanon will be the 2nd Arab country to sign a peace agreement with Israel. This changed September 1970 , when the Palestinians, who at that time were in Jordan, tried to fight against King Hussein, who killed thousandths of Palestinians and the were forced to move to Lebanon and Syria. The PLO has established himself in Lebanon and build there training camps and it’s headquarters. Lebanon was used as a staging area for attacks against Israel. From time to time Israel forces have attacked Palestinian targets in Lebanon. Those attacks were purely against Palestinians and NOT Lebanese citizens or military. When things have escalated beyond what Israel could tolerate Israel has invaded Lebanon on 2 occasions :1. In 1978 Israel has invade the south of Lebanon in order to clear PLO terrorists from the south who attacked Israel from that area. It held the land south of the Litany river for 3 month and withdrew after 3 months and the PLO had to move north of the Litany river.2. In June 1982 Israel has invaded Lebanon to clear Lebanon of Palestinian Terrorists from the PLO and other organization that used Lebanon as a training and staging area for attacks against Israel. The reason that Israel has remained in the south of Lebanon was was to build a buffer zone between the northern settlements, who were attacked by rockets and mortars from Lebanon. The Lebanese government could/would take responsibly for the south of and insure that it would it would not be used to attack Israel. Later on the situation has complicated and Hezbollah was formed to fight Israel, it is funded by Iran who has Political and Religious interests. In 2006 after an attack & kidnapping bodies of Israeli soldiers Israel have invade the south of Lebanon to clear it from Terrorists and then withdrew back to Israel. The problem is that Hezbollah needs to convince the citizens of Lebanon of the necessity of keeping it’s military power, so it tries to convince that Israel is about to invade Lebanon. If Israel will have invade Lebanon again it would be because Hezbollah. The cost this time would be very high for the Lebanese people.

Will Israel attempt to invade Lebanon for a third time?

The first time it invaded it did so to help out the christians during the civak war. It left after the war died down and the conflict became over thier prolonged ocuupation. After 18 years they left. The second time the tried to retrieve the two kidnapped soldiers. They had no intent on staying. The war only started after israel was attacked by hezbollah. But israel is the boogey man of the middle east. Saying israel and hezbollah will fight soon is an attempt to give legitamacy to hezbollah. I once even saw a 25 minute show on the syrian cival war, where they argued who israel favored, hezbollah or al qaeda. If the media is drumming it up, they are trying yo popularize hezbollah.
