What happens if you dont answer your door for the ups man and you live in a apartment complex what do they do?

It depends on the situation.

First off, if the package must be signed for by you in person they will leave a notice with tracking info telling you when they will be back to attempt redelivery. If it needs signed for, but not necessarily in person you can sometimes sign the back of the notice that is left for you and leave it on the door for the next scheduled delivery.

If the package does not require that you sign for it, one of four things could happen.

1. Your leasing office may have an arrangement with the delivery carriers to leave the package at the office. You could check with them to see if they do. If this happens they will leave a note saying they left it with them.

2. They could leave the package at your door step.

3. A neighbor is occasionally asked to sign for your package (this happens to me all the time).

4. They will leave a notice telling you when they will attempt redelivery.

Is it rude to answer your door with your bathrobe open, if the package inside is hot?

Couldn't be any worse than when i answered the door (I was dressed, track pants and my b/f t shirt.)

When i had finished at the door i was thinking, why were those people looking at me strangely. when I next went to my bedroom and passed a mirror I thought something was stuck to my shirt.

On closer inspection it turned out to be my nipple poking out a hole.

The bad part is, I had driven to the shop just before this.

When the doorbell rings, have you ever answered the door naked?

No, but wouldn't be really funny to answer the door naked when those bible thumpers come to your door trying to save you. I wonder if they would make a second visit.

Who ever comes to your door can be easily handled by being prepared and ready for a answer! So yes I do. Shouldn't be a thing just be prepared. Sales person comes ready. Why shouldn't I be too? Here is what I know and practice and see if it helps you too.The person coming to you has been prepared on how many will even greet them to how many wont. They even have their speech prepared, what to look for, what the see and hear and you, your expressions.. everything is taken in very quickly and if the salesman has any skills will know what they will say and how the say it if they get a audience. Why is that? People face a hard time letting go of their money . They also are taught NO and it is easier to say NO then yes. Especially when asking something from them. So naturally a good sales person will judge things very quickly to present the audience with the need to say yes!Does that mean the sales person is a bad person. No. If coarse not if they are working for your best interest. Others will use these tools developed to earn a paycheck. Those bad character types are what they are…They are the professional and are good at what they do. So you the audience should also be good at what you do too! Doesn't matter what is presented to you. You should be ready.Kirby Sweeper salesman came to my house. Being newlywed it was hard for me to grasp buying a sweeper at such a cost some 30 years ago. I still have it at Kirby sweeper and also bought other brands that I needed but thrown them all away. Great investment and I had a good Kirby salesman to thank.I never answer a door if a person on the other side doesn't step back to the top step on the stoop or 8′ away from the door! Safety 1st. Yell through the door or top window so they understand to back away. Then proceed. You set the ground rules — control the time you will give to listen or not. Say it right up front before any speech from them is started.Tell them before they start you may tell them stop. You are not interested or this is at a bad time and conversation is done. They need to agree with you on your terms. Do this with phone solicitations too.If you don't get a yes then why continue? They are being rude so end it. Your door, your rules. You quickly determine is this a service or product or asking for you to sign something or maybe appointment setter for a service or product offered.Look to see how they arrived at your door. So you know how they will leave.

Guys...would you ever answer the door shirtless?

You can make these huge arguements about freedom of whatnot, but in the end, it's simple: there are unspoken common courtesys, and while no one's going to send you to jail for answering the door without a shirt on, it'll make people uncomfortable, and unless you're the sort who likes screwing with people, it's just something you probably shouldn't do. I mean, sure, it's "kind of funny" in a universal sense, but you know that the other guy is like "Oh great, some freak showing some skin" and now he's all upset, and all he wants is to get money and give you the pizza so he can go back to his job...

I like messing with people a little myself; staring at people oddly through the glass windows at a restaurant. But it's important to identify that there's no hostility, and it's just there to add a little bit of "twist" to life for both people. People feel weird, but in the end, if someone can go away shaking their head with a small chuckle, that's better than if they have to walk away utterly exasperated.

My girlfriend has informed me this response is too long.

First of all, the driver would attempt to call whatever number is associated with the order. 9 times out of 10 the reason someone doesn’t answer the door is because they’re upstairs, or the doorbell is broken, TV is too loud, etc. This is why it’s so important to give a correct number that you will actually answer when placing your order. I know where I worked a lot of customers were more concerned with what number would “pop-up in or system” and I would immediately interrupt with, “sir / ma’am, please give me the number of the phone you’ll answer if we need to reach you.” When calling the customer, if I had to leave a VM, I’d also leave my personal phone number so that I could re-deliver the pizza more quickly than going back to the store, finding out they’d called, and driving right back out there. If no one answers the phone or the door, the food goes straight back to the store and earns itself a stay under the heatlamp. Usually it sits there until it’s too dried out to be appetizing to anyone, but occasionally the manager would make the call to scrap the order and let employees eat it. Most of the time someone would eventually call wondering about their order, and if it wasn’t a straight up miscommunication about the address or something the customer typically tried to spin some tale about having been home the whole time.
