What Would You Do If You See Somebody Unknown Person At Home At Night And He

An unknown person knocked on my door in the middle of the night asking for help. How should I handle this?

Through the door, which I will not open, I would direct them to the side entrance of my garage if they needed to get off the street or out of the elements. I would tell them that they can wait in these while I call the police. I would already be dialing. punching in those numbers.Twice I have been approached at my home on a Saturday afternoon by an individual asking me if I could please take them to get their spouse. Their story went something like this - The spouse had received a distress call from an older relative or one of their children who had been in an accident in a location far west of our city. She had run out of gas and had left without their bank card. He, of course, had the bank card, but as they only had one vehicle, he had no way of getting the cash to her to buy gas… and he just needed me to drive him to his wife. He would, of course, reimburse me for my gas. And, of course, there was no way to talk with the wife because her phone was dead. She was calling from the gas station and he just needed a ride there…please. This guy folks was relentless, but I was stubborn. When I later related this story to a friend, a retired police officer, she responded that in that scenario, I would have been lucky to have come home alive.Sorry, take your sad tale elsewhere. Even if I see the disabled or wrecked vehicle in front of my home or the individual appears to be injured, I am not in a safe position to render assistance. Sorry.

It’s the middle of the night and you hear somebody downstairs in your house what do you do?

If you are in most westernized countries you could go down and throw a punch. There is a very good chance the person will not be armed. If you are in the United States you have to think about whether the intruder has a gun or whether you should use your gun (if you have one). If you shoot and kill the intruder you will most probably face a murder charge (or possibly manslaughter). Remember the unfortunate Oscar Pistorius who shot and killed his own girlfriend. If they shoot and kill you it won’t matter anyway as you will be dead. Maybe escape via the window with your family and leave the villain to it.

Recurring unknown person in my dreams... what does this mean?

First of all, I tend to have really strange dreams. Often, there is this one guy who shows up. Before last night, I could never see his face. He always had his back to me. Last night though, we were sitting at this table with two other people and he put his arm around me and pulled me into a hug. Then he backed off like he had crossed a line or something and apologized. I looked up and saw his (gorgeous) face. I said, "No, it's okay." We smiled, kissed, and then I rested my head on his shoulder. I don't really remember anything else important, but I'm positive that this is the same guy... It's hard to explain, but I know. And I've never seen him before. What does this mean???

Thanks for your input!

Somebody tried to break into my house last night through a sealed door. What should I do?

I don’t know what you mean by “sealed door” but if you thought it was secure, it might not be. Sometimes, burglars will just kick the door in if they can. Other times, they pick the lock and even use a car jack to push the door jamb (sides) apart so the lock doesn’t touch anymore, making it useless.Yes, call the police, who may have information on other B&E’s in your area. Aside from that, get a security system. SimpliSafe is a wireless system that isn’t too expensive and can be set up by the homeowner. It gets high ratings from almost all tech magazines. Just go to their website. In the meantime, you may want to get a camera for the door. One option that’s not too expensive is a hunting camera that’s motion activated. It points toward the door so they don’t see it. You should also have a motion-activated light. The best ones send a signal to your computer or smart phone inside, so you get an alarm and can then send a signal to trigger an alarm outside as well as call police.Buy a bar that acts as a brace on the door. You should be able to get one at Home Depot or Lowe’s. These are great—they really work. If you have windows near the door knob or handle, try putting clear film on it, so they can’t break it without getting cut. You can also get a fencing company to install decorative bars.Clear heavy shrubbery and other items from around the house so they can’t hide. Install lights outside to illuminate the house. You should also get timed lights inside the house that randomly go on during the night, so it looks like someone is home. Some people advise leaving a car in the driveway and even a pair of men’s boots on the doorstep! Keep in mind that your security system’s monitoring service is key. Most neighbors are conditioned to ignore sirens, so they aren’t likely to come to your aid.The last line of defense in some states is a gun or a dog…or both! I’m not a gun owner and I do believe in gun control, but I also believe in self-defense at any cost. If you live in a state that doesn’t allow guns inside, then arm yourself: a baseball bat, tire iron, pepper spray can all work if you aren’t afraid to use them. Here’s another article by the product “Ring”, that lets you see who is at your door:Ask a Burglar: How Do I Prevent a Home Break-In? - The Ring Blog

Someone is knocking on my door at night!!!!? Scared?

10 min ago... Someone just knocked on my door like about two times. I am really sacred only me and my sister and brother are home because my mom and dad went to the hospital because my dad had a really big cut on his hand and a lot of blood came out! His whole hand was bloody so they had to stich it for him :( anyway... Why would someone knock on the door twice and I didn't hear footsteps where we usually do every time someone rings the door. They ring it they don't knock so was that person was trying to break in :O we didn't answer because we were really scared! We moved out of the window way, shut the t.v and been quiet! I tried to call my parents incase it were them but non of them answered! I am scared any idea??!
Also I didn't answer because maybe that was a way for that guy to break in easily and kill meh!! Ohh man I am scared lol -.-

What would you do if somebody put poop in your mailbox?

i'd get a new mailbox

If an unknown person knocks on your door for help in the middle of the night what would you do?

Honestly speaking, at first I will watch out from the door peephole and if its someone really old or badly wounded I would surely help but sorry to say if the person is young, looks mature and have two legs and 2 hands(sounds illogical but matters to me.. I mean if he/she is not old or physically challenged) and looks creepy, I’m not going toopen the door.As my family at home is my first priority. I can’t be so foolish trusting anyone coming and knicking at my door. That century of midnight helpings are gone!!( you never know maybe the person is faking it, thugs are all over the place in our century) Risking family? Na! No way!! I am clear about it.

I call *67... does it show up on my phone bill as unknown?

with landline phones only toll calls are listed on your phone bill, so if it is regional, or long distance any number that you dial, regardless if you block your CID will show up on your bill..

many of the VoIP providers and cellular providers will list all outgoing calls (and most incoming also)

the person you called with the blocked number will not have your number appear on there bill.

if you want to prevent a number that you are dialing from appearing on your bill you must use a calling card or other method to avoid dialing the number directly

What would you do if someone knocked on your window in the middle of the night, and your bed is by the window?

My first thought was, that would be very weird… I live in a third floor with no balcony. Is this a flying vampire?!But to be serious, I am surprise that so many people writes here that they would immediately freaked out/call the police.I cant imagine this sort of polite murderer or burglar that would knock before attempting his job. Knocking is a request to enter which means that you have a control over a situation. You can give permission to enter or not. I don't see a reason to get scared just yet. I see many possibilities why someone could knock to a window of my apartment (assuming that its on a ground floor)Family member forgot his key and his or mine phone is not working.Someone had an accident on the street and he knock first window to ask for helpSomeone is making a stiupd jokeSomeone made a mistake, and thought that its his home.Etc.Honesty, I would be probably to lazy to get up, as I usually like to sleep in the middle of the night. I would try to ignore it first. Only if knocking repeat or won’t stop I would go to check who is this and just after that decide if it’s a time to panic or not.
