What Would You Say Your Fav Style Of Name Is Examples Given

If you met your favorite celebrity, what would you say to them?

I love David!
I would be respectful, and not all screaming I love you and stuff. (even though i would do it in my head! )
I would say Hi, it's so exciting to meet you, and stuff, then go like you are such a great person, wonderful role model. I like your music. Cant wait for your album! I heard it's going to be great...
and dont tell him he's hot, if you must,
say your face is really beautiful?
and then at the end, i would give him my name (a girl can always hope!), and tell him that i will always love him, thanks :)

Emmy Jo's Middle Name Survey -- What middle names do you like?

1.

b. I want to honor family members, but I can't stand it when there are seven Michaels or Marys in a family. My husband is Kevin Kenneth, his father (and grandfather) are Kenneth Ernest, his uncle is Kenneth Ray, his brother in law is Kenneth Charles, and our son will be James Kenneth. I wanted to honor this plethora of Kenneths, but I was not going to bring yet another Kenneth into the world. Since we're going to use it as middle name, it neatly sidesteps adding a fifth Kenneth-as-a-first-name into the family, but still honors all of them.

f. I can't convince my husband into it, but I love a lot of goofy, unusual names. If I wasn't so set on family names for middle names, I love using my more out-there names for the middle, like Genevieve Valentine, or Naomi Jemima.

d. It's not my style, but I much prefer seeing this used for other people's kids. (ex. I would prefer to see a Madison Amelia over Madison Cayden.)

2. One middle name. I moved my maiden name to a second middle name when I got married. I wouldn't have been able to do that reasonably if I had already had two middle names. I also think that going without a middle name would be a very bad idea. Most forms require at least a middle initial. My Iranian friend from high school, Nusha, always had her name as Nusha NA Lastname on forms because her mother wrote N/A on the first form that had asked for her middle name.

3. Charlotte, Margaret, Valentine. They are unusual, but still tend to sound good with whatever name they're paired with, and they aren't the ubiquitous Rose, Anne, Grace, Marie, and Renee.

4. James, Michael, and Thomas. They're pretty common names, and I think they sound good with basically anything. Michael is a name I like, but is way too common for me to be comfortable having in the first name spot. James is one of those awesome names for me because it's familiar, bordering on common for adults, that isn't used that much right now as a first name, and it makes any trendy name sound more classy when used as a middle name.

5. Grace, Rose, Anne, Marie, and Renee. I don't have any middle names on guys that bother me, but I'm so tired of these ones on girls!

6. Elizabeth, and I'm 21.

What are examples of filmmaking styles?

Film Noir is a style.
A Comedy or Drama is a genre.
Film Noir can also be considered a genre, but so because of the style.

Classic style would be the golden age when movies were cinemgraphed like a theatre.

Leni Riefenstahl, who worked for Hitler, actually developed the trolley for sports shorts, and her Olympic Film of the 1936 event was groundbreaking. Because of her Nazi Ties, she gets very little credit in film. But George Lucas is a big fan. The Emperor Scene in Jedi is based on a similar scene in a Hitler film

Modern style and Method acting, like Elia Kazan used more candid and raw angles and footage. Brando's Method Acting against Vivien Leigh's Classical Training wonderfully collided in Streetcar named Desire. Leigh was so overcome that it drove her nuts.

Avant-Guarde films like Warhol drop the whole narrative motif. Salavador Dali made a film as well.

French directors are infamous for having strong independent styles. While Hollywood has glossed much of it's work.

Notable Directors with Unique Styles include:
Hitchcock (suspense)
Speilberg (adventure)
Cecil B Demille and Peter Jackson (epic)
François Truffaut (French)

From Wikipedia:
Some have argued that genre needs to be distinguished from film style. A film's style concerns the choices made about cinematography, editing, and sound, and a particular style can be applied to any genre. Whereas film genres identify the manifest content of film, film styles identify the manner by which any given film's genre(s) is/are rendered for the screen. Style may be determined by plot structure, scenic design, lighting, cinematography, acting, and other intentional artistic components of the finished film product. Others argue that this distinction is too simplistic, since some genres are primarily recognizable by their styles. Many historians debate whether film noir truly is a genre rather than a style of film-making often emulated in the period's heyday.

But if you want to fall back on the genre idea. That's cool, but no respectable film falls completely within it's genre.

What do you think of the name Schuyler for a boy? And do you think it fits with my style?

What do you think of the name Schuyler for a boy? The original, Dutch spelling. I do not care for the Americanized spellings. And do you think it fits with my style of names?

Some of my boy names for reference:

Paul
Patrick
Aubrey
Russell
Ciarán
Malachi
Kendall
Delaney
Matthew
August

Do not bother to tell me that Schuyler is "too feminine" for a boy, because it is not. It is a masculine boy's name. And in major world languages the word 'sky' is considered masculine; Spanish and German for example.

What is your favourite restaurant and why?

I am not usually picky about food, but there’s a pop up restaurant in Japan that I’d love to visit. There’s nothing special about the food, and it’s definitely not a Michelin Star restaurant, but the experience truly makes it special. It’s a restaurant called The Restaurant of Order Mistakes. [1]It only employs waiters with dementia. You could place an order for a burger and get a bowl of soup delivered instead. To many, it may seem like a hassle. After all, people like to get what they ordered. What gives this restaurant a place on my favourites list is that it raises awareness for dementia. For many people who have never interacted with people suffering from dementia, it is a good opportunity to change some perspectives.I have loved ones who had dementia, and although it might be a challenge, it broadened my perspective.Although it’s only there for a month, if they ever have another pop up I’d love to visit.Footnotes[1] The Restaurant of Order Mistakes only employs waiters who have dementia
