Jon Benjamin.Tinais played by Dan Mintz.And Lindais played by John Roberts.Here’s the whole Belcher family.So did the animators of Bob’s Burgers intentionally design the charterers to look like their voice actors? No. No they did not.If you’re looking for a show that does design their characters with the actors in mind, ask me about Archer. I could write a whole other answer on that show.
Why are all the female characters in “Bob's Burgers” performed by males?
They're not.*cough* Louise *cough*Louise is voiced by one Kristen Schaal, who is very much a female.(I don't know why that's so tiny, sorry)Furthermore, some of the male characters are voiced by females. Andy and Ollie Pesto are voiced by sisters Sarah and Laura Silverman.This gender voice reversal isn't uncommon in the world of animated comedy. The Simpsons, considered the gold standard of adult cartoons by many, employs a similar tactic. Bart is voiced by Nacy Cartwright. And I'm sure there are many other instances in other animated shows.As for why? I don't know. I guess the voices just matched up with what the creators had in mind for their characters. As for Linda and Tina, two Bob's Burgers women voiced by male actors, I'd say the casting crew got it spot on. I couldn't imagine those characters with any voices other than the ones they have. I never see them as masculine when I'm watching the show, even though I know whose voice is really on the screen, just because the actors do such a good job.Good question. Hopefully someone who has direct experience in the area will come along and give you a better answer.
Who is your least favorite character on Bob's Burgers?
Jimmy Pesto - not just because the character is a thoroughly vile human being, but because, in terms of the writing on the series, he is the only significant character who has not been developed in any way over the series’ 8 seasons.He has been given neither a backstory or the slightest hint of being even momentarily sympathetic. He is a one dimensional character in a physically two-dimensional cartoon universe inhabited by mostly three dimensional lead characters.In relative terms, that make him zero-dimensional. A quantum singularity of douchebaggery.
Does anyone here think Tina from Bob's Burgers is transgender girl?
For those that watch this lovely show, maybe its possible Tina is one of the first trans child characters on animated television. In the pilot episode there is a male character instead of Tina and I've seen two nods towards the fact in separate episodes. In the mannequin episode she alludes that one day you wake up with your assigned gender then boom. In another when the health inspector comes Louis goes "lucky for you there's three of us: a boy, girl and Tina!" What are your thoughts?
Is the new show Bob's Burgers good?
Good is a pretty general and vague term. That said, Bob’s Burgers is not only good, it’s EXCELLENT! It differs greatly from a lot of the crudeness that people are used to now with adult animation. This show has a big heart, comedy that comes from real life situations that families deal with, the way the characters relate to each other is very honest, while still being a zany and fun-filled family complete with the hijinks we expect from a network comedy.The actors who voice the characters are all comedians or comedic actors and do an amazing job. H. John Benjamin, Kristin Schaal, Eugene Mirman, Dan Mintz and John Roberts play the family unit, and the way the dialogue is written actually sounds like the way people talk, and not a script. People stammer, people talk over each other sometimes, and that’s honestly reflected in how the dialogue gets put and recorded together.Easily top 3 animated shows out there, and the best in my opinion if we’re just talking network TV. I highly recommend you check it out. Happy viewing!
