Whats up with my throat.?

I woke up this morning, when i swallow saliva, it feels like theres a bump or something thats letting it slip through very slowly, and i can feel it..it is somewhat painful, more so just an ache, due to the fact i can FEEL something in my throat.
It's the same way with drinks..
and food, makes it feel like there's a cut or something.

Now, before i went to bed last night, i was eating sour patch kids..and a couple times they got stuck in my throat, which is what i think caused the pain..
It's not altering my breathing..just..annoying to swallow anything.

Is my throat just irritated..?

My throat got hit what should i do??

i was laying down with my knees bent *_/\ (?) and i had my laptop in my lap i sat up and the top of the screen hit my throat and now it hurts i didnt cough or puke so i dont think anythings wrong, but my throat hurts and it feels weird to swallow water ... what should i do???? ...(i finally read what i wrote and it sounds stupid opps ^_^ lol)

How do I get phlegm out of my throat?

First of all, I endorse Simon's answer, go to your doctor to find out the cause of your problem, if you have any sort of infection you need medication.  I am not familiar with the preparation you mention as having failed to work,-it is probably known by a different name here - but if it is some sort of expectorant cough mixture, then it won't work because they don't.  They may soothe your throat for a short period and make you feel a little better temporarily, but they do not actually help you toget rid of the secretions. There are a number of things you can do to help alleviate the situation, until whatever is causing it gets better. The simplest ones are, hot drinks, as hot as you can bear them, but avoid milk.  Secondly, steam - either by putting your head over a bowl of very hot water and breathing in the steam, or, and this is always my preference, a hot bath.  Start it out just warm enough to get into and top up with hot water to your tolerance level.  These methods help to liquefy the secretions and lessen the discomfort to the point where, especially the bath, you are not coughing. The third action you can take is something called 'postural drainage'.  Arrange yourself on a bed or a couch with pillows piled up under neath you so that your chest and head are pointing downwards.  Personally, I prefer to lay on the bed with all of my body above the waist hanging off the edge of it.  If the bed is high, you may need to put your arms out in front of you to stop you falling off.  This will drain secretions out of your lungs and you can either cough them out or spit into a tissue.  It works even better if you have someone there who can pat the upper part of your back to loosen the secretions (percussion)I hope this helps, but first of all GO TOTHE DOCTOR.

A piece of sun flower seed stuck to my throat....whats up with that.?

Chances are that the sensation you are feeling is from a scratch caused by the sunflower seed. It is more likely that the seed has already been swallowed. It should start feeling better soon. If it doesn't, or of the pain worsens, get checked out by a doctor.

What's going on? acid on my tummy and in my throat, slight chest discomfort... ugh?

the past month or so I have had problems with acid on my tummy, and I can feel it in the back of my throat and sometimes up in my nose. I never had a problem with that before. not even when I was pregnant.

the past day or two I am having some discomfort in my chest that I am unsure of.

what scares me is that sometimes this is a sign of a heart attack but I dont' think this is one.

could I just not be feeling well and run down as of late? I have been very stressed.

As for my general health, my B/P is normal, my cholesterol is ok (high level of HDL which is a good thing) but heart problems do run in the family. I did have an older sibling who was born with three heart defects and died before I was born. Usually anyone with heart problems in the family are all old.

Could my sinuses be bugging me really bad and causing my tummy to get upset? Just curious

I have a cut on the inside of my throat. What should I do?

It depends on how you did it. If it’s serious and you’re spitting up blood, definitely seek medical attention. If it’s not that bad, like you swallowed something scratchy, and it feels cut, you could make a golden seal powder slurry. Golden seal is a herb that is known to be antiseptic and healing of mucous membranes. Simply mix a quarter teaspoon of powder into about three quarters of a cup of water and then let sit till the particulates have settled. Then drink about a tablespoon of the golden liquid above about 3 times each day- once when you first wake up, once in the middle of the day and once before going to bed. If it doesn’t feel better in 4 or 5 days or gets worse, seem medical attention.

Why does your throat hurt after vomiting?

The contents of your stomach is acid - hydrochloric acid is an essential ingredient tn the process that starts the digestion of protein in your stomach. There is a mucus lining in your stomach that protects the stomach from being damaged by the digestive process (unless you have stomach ulcers). As the mix passes into the duodenum, the acid is neutralized so that alkaline digestive processes can proceed.Your oesophagus, however, is only “designed” to handle food entering the system. This is usually slightly alkaline from saliva (assuming you actually chew your food). Whenever food goes the other way, either by leaking past the pyloric sphincter (heartburn) or by vomiting, the acid tends to damage the oesophagus, throat, mouth and teeth. You are being digested, so yes, it’s going to hurt. It’s a really good idea to rinse your mouth after being sick, drink water (possibly antacid) to flush out the acid, and if you have time and opportunity, clean your teeth.
