(I believe first class letters can not be tracked via delivery conformation, but can be sent as certified, which also will be tracked... ask at your post office or look on the USPS web calculator cite... If you package it in a large envelope with cardboard/stiff, you can then send it as a first class package with tracking, which actually might me cheaper than a letter sent certified, and for sure is cheaper than a letter sent priority with tracking....)
