When Someone Tags And Old Picture Of You On Fb Does It Repost On The Feed

How do you make a facebook picture appear on news feed again?

I've seen people make their older facebook pictures appear on news feed again, saying for example "2 mins ago", as if they reuploaded them, but they didn't. It's NOT SHARING and it's NOT commenting or liking the photo so as to appear again. All it says is their name and the picture, but saying it was added now. Can someone help?

If you change post date immediately after posting a picture on Facebook, will it still show up in my friends news feed?

Yes.The thing about being able to change the date on a Facebook post is that it doesn't change when you posted it, it will only change the date of the event. For example, if you post a picture today of a party that happened last year, it will show up in your friends' news feed because you posted it today, but the date on it will be from last year because you changed it to match when the event happened. These changes are actually usually mentioned in the posts; I've done this many times before and I've noticed that there will be two different times on the post: the time when it was posted, and the time when it was taken (as in, when the content of the post happened).

What does it mean to tag someones photo in facebook?

As said, tagging means labeling the people in the pictures with their name. That way, when you scroll your mouse across the picture, you can see who is who.

Also, when you tag people (or people tag you), it shows up in that persons pictures, as "Added by Others." That way not only the pictures you've uploaded yourself appear under your pictures, but any other picture you're in as well. It also immediately alerts the person by e-mail (unless you've opted out of that feature) that a picture of them has appeared on facebook.

However, the one who posted a picture has the power to tag it. If you want to tag yourself, you recognize others in the picture that aren't tagged, or perhaps the person who uploaded the picture doesn't have the person in the picture as a friend, you have the power to tag other people's picture. The owner of the picture has the ability to take down the tags, but that rarely happens unless you added something incorrect or plain mean.

If someone tags a horrible picture of you, you can "untag" the picture. The picture stays up, but it's no longer connected to your facebook. If you want the picture taken down, ask the person or report it.

Hope that helps!

If I edit a caption on an Instagram pic, does the picture reappear as a new post, or does the caption only change?

Hi! I agree with the others but There's something interesting you migth not know.Yes, as others said only the caption will change, but when it comes to hashtags when you include a new hashtag on the picture the pict appears on that hashtag searchpage, it can be used to quickly change the hashtags of your pic and get more reach…Anyway it has to be done quickly because the pics appear in the search results in cronological order so, if your picture is too old it won't appear on the first search results.

Do my Instagram photos reappear on the news feed if I archive and put them back on my profile?

Instagram photos only display in newsfeeds once, although if people start commenting or liking your previously archived photo that can bring it back into play a little bit through the “following activity” feed. You could tag some people in the photos when you add them back and get the conversation started if it’s that important.

If someone tags me in a photo on Instagram, will it appear on my followers’ feed?

No.You will receive a notification and possibly go in the ‘tagged’ section on your profile which anyone can look at on your profile.

If you post something on Facebook as "only me" and after a long period of time you change it so your friends can see it, will it appear on their newsfeed as a new post appears or merely be seen on your account?

It won't show up on news feed as a new post.  It could show up a long way down in news feed (depending on how many other posts you've made, how much time has elapsed, etc).  Privacy settings don't affect post priority, just which people can actually see the post.  However, if you or someone else should happen to interact with it (comment or like), that activity may show up on news feed even years later.Example:A posts "XYZ" on 1 January with regular settings.  A's friends mostly see it that day or the next day.  By 5 January, it's pretty much not in anyone's news feed, though if A doesn't  post much it might show up toward the bottom of news feed for some friends.  On 15 January, someone comments on A's old post.  It might then show up as "C commented on A's post 'XYZ' from 1 January".A posts "XYZ" on 1 January with "only me".  It might actually show up in A's news feed but no one else can see it.  By 5 January, A can probably change the privacy setting without it showing up as a new post for the most part.  But if someone comes along and comments on it, it might show up again the same as described above.

What does custom mean on facebook?

Ok, I'm no facebook expert and honestly rarely use it but since no one else has tried to help you with this question I'll take a shot at it.

It has to do with "custom lists". Apparently on FB you can create posts and photos and then share them with custom lists, like "close friends", or "acquaintances". Perhaps you're seen as an "acquaintance" since your friends with the boy and the other random guy is also friends with him.

That's a vague answer, I know, so here is a link that provides much more detail and information about the issue:

Why do people tag themselves on photos on facebook that they uploaded themselves?

I have a friend on facebook who uploads pictures of herself, on holiday, whatever, and then she tags every single one of them. They're her own photos on her own profile, does she need to remind herself of who she is or something?

If you have a private instagram can you tag people who dont follow you?

They won't be able to see the picture because it is private. Basically, they'll get a notification saying they were tagged, but they won't be able to see what the picture actually is. But you can tag them if you wish so other people can see them.

But anyone who isn't following you can't see your pictures at all, since you're private. This is whether you tag them or not.
