What it is like to quit your job and travel the world?
Well I didn't go as far as traveling the whole world but...A year ago I quit my job, sold everything I owned, bought a bicycle, a tent and set off for a ride. I cycled through UK to France and then to Spain. It was scary. Fear of change, of how I'm going to cope, where am I going to sleep, how will I communicate without knowing the language (I've done it once already when I first came to the UK, but still...), how will my life look like if everything I know is here and I'm setting off to the unknown...It was amazing experience for many reasons:I learned that fear always makes everything looks scarier than it actually is in reality (FEAR = False Evidence Appearing Real)I learned that I'm stronger than I thoughtI learned to believe in myselfI learned that the world isn't as scary as TV wants us to believeI learned that not changing the bike saddle that comes with the bike was a bad idea... :)I learned a bit of FrenchI got to see the night sky every nightI learned that scary is better than boringI got to see places so beautiful that no photo can make me feel as I felt back thenI met some amazing peopleI learned a bit of SpanishI learned to let go of things that don't serve meI slept in a different place every nightI conquered Pyrenees on a bicycle... over 3 hrs of non stop pedaling uphill was the toughest and one of the most amazing experiences in my lifeI learned a lot about myself. What I value in life etc...met some more fantastic peoplebottle fed a baby goat named ZiggyI've knocked together a wooden house for turkeysmilked a goat (not too easy at the first time)I grew, I grew and I grew some moreI could probably go on forever but what I want to say here is: This is experience that will make you grow, that will show you who you are and teach you some important lessons in life... Do it! You'll thank yourself for it... :)Some Photos (Galaxy S2 camera ):

mine would have to be Pink Floyd's "Brain Damage" The lunatic is on the grass The lunatic is on the grass Remembering games and daisy chains and laughs Got to keep the loonies on the path The lunatic is in the hall The lunatics are in my hall The paper holds their folded faces to the floor And every day the paper boy brings more And if the dam breaks open many years too soon And if there is no room upon the hill And if your head explodes with dark forebodings too I'll see you on the dark side of the moon The lunatic is in my head The lunatic is in my head You raise the blade, you make the change You re-arrange me 'til I'm sane You lock the door And throw away the key There's someone in my head but it's not me And if the cloud bursts, thunder in your ear You shout and no one seems to hear And if the band you're in starts playing different tunes I'll see you on the dark side of the moon "Mayonaise" by the Smashing Pumpkins is a 2nd
