How long does it take for Wal-Mart to get results back from a drug test?
Wal-Mart had me do drug test yesterday for a matience job there. I also signed and filled out some papers there. Now I'm just waiting for the drug test results and Wal-Mart to call me back.

I'm actually management in Wal-Mart and know that it could take up to a couple of weeks for the drug test and background check to come in. It's always a good idea to call back and check up on the status of your interview. It will show them that you're really interested in the job and will help you to stand out above the others. As far as the mix up when the interview occurred. I'm laughing that that actually happened because I know that Wal Mart can get kinda screwy, especially during the holidays. It's almost as if the whole management team is running around with the heads cut off as crazy as it gets. But if you get the job, I really hope you like it because I've enjoyed working there and I always recommend it. It takes a certain type of person so I know it's not for everyone but I hope you enjoy it if you get the job!

Its kind of hard to tell if the drug was out of your system, 3 days usually does it. But it also depends on your height and weight. If your smaller, the drug tends to vacate your system quicker, drinking water can help flush it out but also dilutes your urine, and if your urine was too diluted with water, some test recognize that and it looks sketchy to the employer. I took a drug test for walmart, and I KNOW i had stuff in my system, but I passed. So who knows. I know the anticipation sucks, but hopefully they'll get back to you soon. Hope you get the job! If someone was injured on the clock and they were required to take a drug test that same day...shouldn't Walmart know the results right away? Within 24hrs at least??? Please help

i had an interview at walmart last tuesday then 2 people had interview me, then after that the last person who interviewed me told me to come with him,bec he had something to show me,so when i was in the oficce he said to read the its like the agreement then i also sign i thing its about the salary then i sign it, then he gave me the paper for the drug test and he said i have to do it w/in 24 hrs, then i took the drug test. then he also give me a paper it's written there those thing that i need to bring when they call back after the result of the drug test! but until now they didn't call me yet. how long does it take for walmart to call me back. its been 3 days after my drug test.
Walmart background check and drug test, How long do you think it takes before you get a call for orientation?
I went in last Wednesday and did the drug test the same day and they said they will call me after my background/drug test was complete, its already been 3days and im wondering how long will it take until they call me in for orientation so I can began work. Im not worried about anything showing up in either one of them so I know that shouldn't be a problem. But im just trying to get closure or an idea and I also been calling and the department hasn't been answering the phone... so what should I do? just wait or keep calling everyday?
Does Walmart drug test cashiers?
Not in this day in age, in the last recent years even Wal Mart has had to be a little more laxed on it’s hiring practices (at least in my area) and typically only if you are going to be working around large sums of cash or working with or on equipment that can potentially harm you or someone else. So really the only positions that get drug tested regularly as a condition of getting hired are maintenance, and supervisor postions , automotive, Asset Protection and Garden center. Now that isn’t saying cashiers don’t get drug tested, but because they aren’t even expected to last long enough for a drug test to be necessary. Besides stockers, cashiers are the highest turnover position so there isn’t really any point to drug test someone when they may or may not be working there in 90 days. Even the equivalent of shifts leads don’t typically get drug tested unless they come under suspicion and or hurt themselves. But this may or may not be the case everywhere, being that some Wal Marts (mainly smaller ones in rural areas and the like) still operate for the most part in the old ways of Wal Mart like with the pay, and shady overtime practices etc. So to answer your question it depends on how you interview, who interviews you, how bad your store is hurting for people, and what area you are in.

I went and had one done today for walmart, I haven't heard anything back. I don't typically do any kind of drugs or pills, don't even drink. But I was in so much pain 2 days ago, I took a Lortab 5 mg. I have drank plenty of water since last night. The color on top of the cup was a peachish color then faded to white. Anyone know what this means? Please, any kind of info would suffice. Thank you.

Luckily, they understood my involvement in my community and how much I changed my life around so, they updated my status to Eligible to Hire. Does it pay to be honest? I would say yes. For all you applying for a in store position, such as overnight stock, day stock, they only go back 7 years on your background. They pick a certain package for sterling to run. Will Walmart let you retake a drug test if you fail, possibly due to a false-positive. I'm worried about this.
why are you worried about having a false positive?? If you do come up positive, several things can happen. If you are already an employee, the test goes to the lab and the doctor at the lab will call you to see if there is any legitimate reason that the test would be positive. Perhaps you are on a medication prescribed by your doctor that would make the test come up positive. If so, then you just produce proof of the prescription and all is ok. If it comes back positive because you're using, they may offer you drug counseling and treatment or they may just fire you depending on their policies. By the way, we always send in two samples to test the second one right away if the first one comes back positive so that we're sure the equipment is in good working order and not creating false positive results. If you are not yet an employee, they don't have to go through these steps - they just don't hire you. There are very rarely true false positives. The tests are quite accurate.
