Where can I buy a military jacket (like the libertines/the strokes)?

I don't know anything about it tbh, it's nice and all but I was thinking of sticking patches on it ect. I have an iron cross but my granddad said I really shouldn't go putting that on it, but I like the look of all that stuff. Anyway is a legit jacket? The weird little dangly thing is hard to read sayings 'riffle' in one then 'machine gun' in another. Those weird-*** assassins creed style logo is on both arms but the bird is only on one. Is it illegal for a US citizen to wear a military jacket with legitimate patches and such?
As long as he/she is not using it to gain access to reserved things (access to bases, VA privileges,etc.), can a person of any age wear a real military jacket from any branch, as long as a veteran gave it to him/her, and put real patches on it that the owner buys from a military surplus store or the internet?
Is is disrespectful to the military to wear military jackets if you have not served?
If it's just a jacket, no. They're sold at surplus stores, some are second hand from an actual soldier, so it may have some insignias on it already. As long as you're not in a full uniform attempting to pass as an actual soldier your fine. No stolen valor issues as long as if asked about an insignia you respond that you bought the jacket 2nd hand from a surplus store there shouldn't be any problems. Attempt to steal valor by wearing a complete uniform with added ribbons you bought and especially try to benefit financially or by some other means and get caught (heaven help you if it's a real veteran), you could be charged with theft for anything you were given while you impersonating a veteran. So where the jacket but don't claim you were military.
