I love Almay its not harsh on the skin...epesially their smart shade makeup I like that one the best the concelear is all I need it does everything for me and their trios the way the pair the color is amazing!...Im not sure where in the uk exactly can you get it but ebay is were I get alot of my makeup so you might want to try there its unbelievably cheap and very convinient its delivered right to your house :)

Japanese make excellent skincare Cleu de Peau is an extremely expensive and very good line SKII is another and of course Shiseido they are known more for the skincare than the color. Shuemura has some very nice colors and nice brushes and they are Japanese as well

Coastal Scents has great eyeshadow palettes. They're very pigmented and go on well. If she does professional make up you'd want to get the 120 palette. It has all the colors inside. They also have a shimmer palette and a matte palette. Chose which ever one your friend would prefer. I hope this helped at least a little bit :)
Does anyone use MAC cosmetics and is it any good? or other brand suggestions?
i have some KOREAN friends, they all using MAC. the result are just so so... my previous job is air stewardess, it forced me to apply a heavy make up because ill work busy for more than 10 hours fly every where, so i need a good cosmetic without damage my face skin. i tried Clinic for 3 months, but the result ae just pimples every where, i tried The Body Shop and also pimples and some rash appeared after using it for 2weeks, i bought some Dior, also same. for my skin type Anna Sui quite good, but i have to Re-apply it every half an hour, when i try REVLON, all my trouble solved! im now using all revlon products, and my mom said it is quite light cosmetic, i have no trouble with my face, not expensive, and the also it not leave stain in my husband shirt, sometimes if i apply foundation if we hug some one then it will leave stain, and cannot be removed, with revlon, i found all the solution. i never try MAC, but most of my japanese and Korean friends using MAC.
Are Japanese cosmetics cheaper in Japan?
Shiseido and Kanebo have lots of different lineup of cosmetics in japan that are not found outside the country. Some with very attractive packaging. But they are almost the same priced as in singapore. but of course, a little cheaper. but not by much. but if u are looking forward to get cosmetics that aren't found here, it's heaven there. the makeup counter girls speak very minimal english. try to use monosyllabic words like "try, ok?" instead of "can i try this on?" but they are very good in service and very friendly, they'll be more than happy to serve you. whether u buy, or decide not to. just return them a smile and "sorry, thank you." if u decide not to purchase after all the service. they catch it better in short phrases. you can also bring the current product that you are using now to show them. note that the lineups that they sell in the departmental stores are different from the lineups they sell in the local drug stores. they really have lots of different lineups! enjoy!

Chacott cosmetics, where to buy?
i have only been able to see the finishing powder available, but they have eyeshadow and foundation as well in japan, but i haven't seen it. also does anyone know this eyeliner, it has white stars around the name on the lid, its black, a gel eyeliner, i think it says " lasting geliner" in white ink in the middle or something like that, i saw the photo of it on a japanese makeup tutorial but i have no idea what the name of it is, ^_^ thanks.
