A good place to buy/look at evening dresses online?
I have a christmas ball coming up soon, and was looking for a place that sold and delivered dresses to the UK, as I'm having a hard time finding places selling NICE dresses! I'd inevitably have the dress tampered with alterations wise (a bit cut off the bottom, sides to make it all fit nicely!) so I'm not too fussed about online buys... I was just wondering if anyone knew where nice, elegant, floor length (not ball gown!) were online. Thanks!

Evening gown is longer and usually alot more expensive more classic, think of a charity gala, Oscar la renta, Ghost, or Vera Wang. Cocktail dresses would be in the Betsey Johnson category,fun, frilly sometimes or very serious and classic like " the little black dress" short usually worn with very high pumps. Prom Dresses are usually floor length dresses just like evening but less classic colours I would say, since prom is nearing the summer, more pinks, white and blues are out, such as BCBG is huge for prom dresses.

Where can I wear an evening gown to?
It seems to me that nowadays the only time women get to get dressed up in formal evening gowns is during high school at their proms. I have old prom gowns from high school and I have several beautiful formal evening gowns that I'd love to wear out. But where? It seems like no one wears formal evening gowns anymore. I know some people wear formal evening gowns to very formal weddings, but my friends haven't had formal weddings, I don't feel like waiting around for someone to get married to wear a nice dress, and I don't like the idea of people thinking I'm trying to dress fancier than the bride. I heard some people dress up to see the ballet, but the last time I went I wore a nice dress, and I felt out of place because everyone else wore casual clothes. Maybe it's silly, but I'm in my 20s, and I still like to get dressed up nicely. Where can my husband and I go that would be appropriate to wear an evening gown? We live in Pittsburgh, if that matters to anyone. Thanks.

Pinched in at the waist and shows off her shoulders and neck beautifully. Beautiful bodice, and lace combination. Lovely lower dress line. A petite tiara to finish the stunning look.Second placePrincess EugenieBeautifully shaped at the back. Pinched in at the waist. Lovely V shape detail upper back and beautifully bunched below the waist. Elegant train and beautiful emerald tiara. Not too keen on the shoulder collar design at the front.Third placeMeghan, Duchess of SussexNo shape, not pinched in at the waist or anywhere else. The shoulder line was wide, yet it looked tight around arms and armpits. The dress showed no trace of her figure. It looks likes a potato sack. Just in beautiful material.
