What's your favorite vampire movie?
I’ve only ever watched a handful of vampire movies but this one sticks out.Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter (2012)It’s premise was just ridiculous. The 16th President of the United States is secretly a vampire hunter who’s ultimate goal is to destroy Adam - the alpha vampire.Then there’s this whole thing where President Lincoln campaigns to abolish the slave trade despite knowing that vampires use slaves for food and that the slave trade is the only thing keeping them in check.Then there’s this whole other thing where he confiscates all silverware from households and industries and melts them to produce silver bullets because the Confederacy has deployed f**king vampires on the front lines of Gettysburg and silver is their only weakness.Mental.But I went with this film because it’s bad-ass watching President Lincoln wield his axe.Hell Yeah.

Are Jehovah's Witnesses allowed to watch rated R movies?
I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses. It is not so much as to whether we are "allowed" to watch R rated movies - but whether we CHOOSE to watch them. I personally have seen a handful of R rated movies - two being "Schindler's List" and "Titanic". EDIT - Thanks Poto for the correction that Titanic is not R rated. That means that I have actually watched one less than my handful of R rated movies. BUT - it must have struck me that its portrayal of content fell into the R rated category. And I don't seem to be the only one who thinks so. I googled Entertainment Media Analysis Report and their report/analysis puts Titanic into an R rated category. Continuing - original comment - With the Passion of the Christ, it is NOT so much that it portrayed Jesus on a CROSS, although that is not correct. The R rating was not given for the "cross". But it was the intensity and length of the "torture" portrayed in the final hours of Jesus' life that gained it the R rating. Christians recognize that the torture portrayed may have very well been as true to life as can be gotten centuries later. But it is not necessary for us to sit through an hour of whippings, agonizing blows, draggings, pushings, blood-slinging shoves, beatings, etc. We do not need to see every gory detail of the daily news to recognize the horror of what is taking place in wars, disasters, famines, cases of abuse, etc. Our minds remember EVERY DETAIL that goes into it. What you see and what you do molds the future person you will be and the personality you will wake up with tomorrow. Our mind was never made to take in such horror on a sustained level. IT WILL AFFECT YOU. So as Jehovah's Witnesses, we attempt to safeguard our mind and our personality, allowing God's word to mold it into a God-approved state. Philippians 4:8 says for Christians - "Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are of serious concern, whatever things are righteous, whatever things are chaste, whatever things are lovable, whatever things are well spoken of, whatever virtue there is and whatever praiseworthy thing there is, continue considering these things." VERY FEW R RATED MOVIES MEET THIS DESCRIPTION.

The Watchmen doesn't count, that was a fake computer generated bluetube. Female nudity has been far more common in mainstream movies for decades that's probably why more of the male variety has been shown recently. It has greater shock value- for example, in Sideways. Before porn became a multi-billion dollar industry, unrated and softcore films of the 1970s and 1980s had more nudity than you could shake a blue radioactive stick it. Why is it that only women's private parts are shown in movies and not men’s?
A good handful of reasons:Girls private parts are their chest and their genitals. Guys private parts are just their genitals. Women's private areas are nearly universally more visually appealing to people. Straight men, gay women, and often straight women and gay men tend to appreciate from a general perspective the female form more. Far fewer people see a penis and go "that gets me going" even if they're attracted to men. Actual private parts aren't shown more for women than men. I can think of 2 mainstream movies immediately off the top of my head in the U.S. that showed a man's penis in them, and can't think of any that have shown a woman's vagina. (Borat and Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Others mentioned by commenters are Wolf of Wall Street, Deadpool and Harold & Kumar)
