Where Can I Find Pawn Stars Ratings History

Is Pawn Stars Completely fake?

I noticed this too right now while watching Episode 7 on my DVR with the coke machine....so I googled it to find out if anyone else found it fishy.

My thought was that it's Episode 7, a very early episode and they had to drum up ratings a little and find a way to get the American Restorations guys in on Pawn Stars for the "spin off."

There's no way Ron (Rick's Restorations brother) would sell an old coke machine "that has been in my family for years" and "I don't know anything about it" to Rick Harrison (pawn stars guy) then Rick Harrison ends up taking it to Ron's brother Rick to fix the same item that is "in his family."

Ron seems like a goof on American Restorations, so I could see him selling scrap pieces, but this story doesn't ad up.

Definitely fake, and definitely makes me question everything...kinda ruins the show...

But WE ALL KNOW that the show is pretty edited/staged because in the preview clips (before the commercial/introduction) we hear lines that we don't hear later in the story, and in fact lines that CONFLICT with what they do show us. For instance in one episode some guy is trying to sign a letter by Winston Churchill and Dana (an expert) says in a preview clip "We have a big problem here, this is Auto Pen, not a real signature" then we see the scene and he looks at it and instantly says "this is definitely not auto pen" and that scene is filming Dana the whole time (i.e. it was not "cut/spliced" it was one rolling scene) so there must have been two takes...

Why did history channel stop airing ww2 documentaries?

It's all about ratings my friend. Good ratings gives you prime time spots (or primier channel spots). The History Channel must have lost some ratings, that is why they went from Ch. 16 to Ch. 72 (if I recall correctly).
Right now reality t.v is a hot market, so the History Channel tried to capitalized on that. An just like MTV or other networks, reality t.v is a hit or miss business.
Lumberjacks and Swamp fishermen did not work so well whereas Pawn Stars, Pickers and Ice Road Truckers did.
But there is a glimmer of hope. The fact that Ancient Aliens has been banished to the lesser known H2 confirms that they are learning (or they just did that because that show was an embarrassed to history).

Is the history channel becoming too liberal for their own good?

Oh yeah i have noticed more than one thing on several occasions. Especially on America The Story Of Us.

TruTV's Storage Hunters and Hardcore Pawn: Setup and fake?

I believe both shows are staged. And for those who think it's real, I have proof! First Hardcore Pawn (Which I knew was staged from the start). If someone brought in a piece of gold or a gemstone, they would take a one second glance and say "It's real how much do you want for it?" or "It's fake get out my shop!". Also the so called brother, sister, and father....ACTORS! Next, who would bring a HORSE to a pawn shop?! NO ONE! If you have to sell a horse you would post an ad online or on a newspaper, you don't bring it into a pawn shop. Their inspiration for this show was History Channel's Pawn Stars. Also I saw a mic pack on one of the "customers". Just because it's in a real pawn shop, doesn't mean it's real. I'm not sure about Disorder in the Court, because I haven't actually seen it. Second, Storage Hunters. Inspiration: A&E's Storage Wars. Fights are set up, they look up the original owner and take a look inside before taping. The only ones that are real, are World's Dumbest , In Session, and Forensic Files. Forensic Files is based on crimes that ACTUALLY happened. In Session they get live coverage on popular court cases like the Micheal Jackson trial and Casey Anthony trial. And my favorite World's Dumbest, the commentators are the acutal people. Figure Skater Tonya Harding, comedian Judy Gold, comedian Nick Diapalo, singer Leif Garrett, Alec Baldwin's brother Daniel Baldwin, plus the clips shown are from actual people. They are even web hits. Also, I don't watch Operation Repo anymore in case you bring it up.

An alternative to History Channel for ACTUAL history documentaries/shows?

History Channel has gone to hell. I used to love watching its specials on Rome, WW1 & WW2, and history in general. Now, I see Swamp Men, Pawn Stars, Axe Men, Top Gear...maybe I got some shows wrong, but you get my point. There is no history left on this channel. Why does it still call itself the HISTORY channel? Oh well, I won't rant anymore. Are there any channels that are actually dedicated to providing people with documentaries/shows on history, and not dumb reality shows? The fact that a show like Honey Boo Boo is on The Learning Channel, is ridiculous.
