Where Can I Install A Oil Pressure Switch On 1997 Honda Accord Besides The Stock Location

Where is my IAT sensor located on my 1999 honda accord??

on the four cylinder the IAT is threaded into the intake manifold at the left rear (driver's side rear) of the engine. If you follow the black air intake hose from the air filter back to the throttle body end on the engine, then continue straight across the silver intake manifold you should come to the IAT at the end of the manifold. It should be on the side of the manifold (as opposed to being up on top as the V-6 is). It may be more to the rear of the manifold than it is straight to the side but it should be the only sensor with a weathertight connector that is screwed into the manifold at that area.

hope that answers your question

What is the correct battery for a 1997 Honda Accord?

I bought an Interstate battery from a Firestone dealership and they sold me a group 24F. I understand the F means reversed terminals. The terminals were in the incorrect position for my car. I checked the web and several sites listed the correct battery as a group 24F but I found one site listing the OEM as a group 24 - non F and distinguishing the Prelude models as having the 24F. This car has never has cables replaced or otherwise altered to fit a 24F. Can someone point to proof on the web that I don't need the 24F and that I need a 24 non F? And thereby prove that some of these websites like Interstate have the incorect information? Or can someone set me straight?

I'm pretty sure I charged 1.2 labor hours when I worked at a Honda dealer.
Sometimes they went in easy. Sometimes they were a MoFo.
Shops charge anywhere between $90-120 per hour.
You should at least try to do it yourself. Nothing to lose.

Can low engine oil cause power loss? If damages are done, how much will they be?

Engine oil has various uses other than lubrication. It provides cooling, cleaning etc. Engine function is degraded when you run out of oil.Let's say, for example your engine is running with very little to no oil.As whatever limited oil is in the engine is pushed around, it becomes hotter and hotter because the oil isn't allowed enough time to cool down a little before it is required to go back into the engine for its use. As this happens, the oil will wear out faster. Fully synthetic oil will last longer than refined oil, but it will runout sooner or later as well. Several reactions happen to the oil, to include oxidation, thermal degradation, and compressive heating. This is all under normal condition but under extreme conditions as it all happens much faster. For more info watch thisWhat Happens When You Don't Change Your Oil Part 1What Happens When You Don't Change Your Oil Part 2

Can I turbo my Automatic accord?

Some people prefer turbo cars with automatic's because it offers more precise shifts. I've seen many cars like Supra's that are turbo'd and pushing over 600hp and still are automatic for that reason. Can a 94 Accord handle it though? I don't think so. That engine wasn't made for boost, unless you do an engine swap, your factory engine won't hold up to it very long. 80,000 miles is a lot for a car your gonna slap a turbo on, most people go turbo early in the cars life. 10-15psi of boost is gonna lower that engines life down for sure. The stock internals wont handle 15psi for that long, you might be lucky to get it past 100,000 miles at 15psi. The best thing for you to do is probably do an engine swap and then do a build.

It's also important to note that turbo builds aren't just simply bolting on a turbo. It involves a lot of work, a good cooling system, and a lot of tuning and maintenance. Most people who turbo their cars ruin the engine in no time because of lack of maintenance. They think its a one time thing that doesn't have to be taken care of. Turbo's can be really delicate, and one thing going wrong can lead to big problems in a very short amount of time. If you don't have about $5,000 in cash on hand right now and good car skills, turbo probably isn't for you. You wont be riding around with 10-15psi for long i'll tell you that right now, maybe 5-7 realistically.

You can do a cheap turbo build if you want, but just know about 9/10 people who i've seen who did a turbo build for less than $3500 (and i see ALOT - im in a Honda club with hundreds of members) ended up blowing the motor or damaging the turbo in about 6 months. Often times those people didn't both checking the turbo system every week for problems either. Probably the #1 problem in my Honda club is engine failure from a bad turbo build or lack of maintenance after going turbo.
