How to make my own calendar?

I want to make my own calendar for my bf but what I want to do is find backgrounds online (for each themed month) and place a pic of myself on it. So for example if there is a beach in the background I want to take a pic of myself laying down and then post it on the background. I've found numerous sites to upload my pics to, to have the calendar made but not sure about how to make the pics. I want it to be done cheap, so I can't really go out and by any software.

When taking a photo on a sunny day should you face towards the sun or away from it?

It depends. There are 3 ways to go about this.Shooting against the sun (backlit)Pros:Dramatic effect.Beautiful colours in foliageChoice between bright high key pictures or low key silhouettesExtra structure/layers in landscapesCons:Harder to get your exposure rightContrast between highlights and shadows can get out of control.White balance can be hard to fix if the light on your subjects gets reflected off a coloured surface, such as grassLens flare can get out of controlYou can damage your eyes if you look at the sun through the viewfinder2. Shooting with the sunPros:Easy to exposeLots of contrasts/sharpness on your subjectCons:Hard for subjects to open their eyesHarsh shadowsUnflattering shiny sweaty spots on human facesLess depth in landscapesAnd then there’s a third option3. Shooting in the shadowsPros:Relatively easy to exposeNice soft lightYou can contrast with an overexposed backgroundCons:Not as contrastyWhite balance can be hard to fixThe environment has to be right for itGenerally, I prefer shooting against the sun or in the shadows, but it all depends on your subject, shooting style and the desired effect.

What does it mean when someone tags me in my own photo on facebook?

I took a picture of the view from the top of a mountain I climbed the other day and posted it to facebook, and a couple of days ago, a personal friend who I am friends with on facebook asked to tag my photo. I approved it, and when I go to my activity log, it says that I was tagged in my own photo. I'm not mad at him for that, I was just wondering why he would want to tag that photo. Is it so that his friends who are not friends with me would be able to see it? Again, I'm not at all mad about it, I'm just wondering what the purpose would be of tagging someone in their own photo. I think the reason is that he thought it was a cool photo and wanted his friends to see it, but I'm not sure. Please give serious answers, by the way.
