Where Can I Street Race In Tucson Az

Should we move to Tucson, AZ??

My fiancee and I are thinking about moving to Tucson. We lived in Phoenix, AZ for a little while and loved the area. ( especially the food and the weather!) However, the people didn't seem to be very open to the idea of inter-racial relationhsips. ( my fiancee is white, I'm black) Everyone that lives ( or has lived) in AZ says that people there usually are very open to the idea of mixed couples, but we lived there and now how weird people were about it. ( we were stopped in the supermarket several times!!) Anyways, we were just wondering if people in Tucson were nicer and how expensive it is to live there.
Thanks for the help.

Is it safe for a South Asian in Tucson, AZ?

Americans generally love South Asian as a whole. My hometown, Tucson, is a multi-cultural city and locals are very tolerant. Hate crimes are an extremely unlikely event.Mental health might be a bigger concern for a South Asian than anything due to the significant cultural differences. It may be difficult for a South Asian to be able to comply with religious requirements such as dietray and worship. There is no call to prayer for Muslims. It is also difficult to find halal meat as it is not readily available in most supermarkets. For praticioners of Hinduism, I can't recall seeing a temple of any sorts. American food is mostly non-veg as well. This may present a challenge. There are a few specialty stores that offer Indian food products. Some Americans might be more comfortable using profanity, something that is not done much in South Asia. Women may dress in a way that would be considered immodest in South Asia. Certain conversation topics that are normal in South Asia are considered offensive in the United States. These topics include someone's weight, how much they earn, and anything of a personal nature.Your visit to Tucson will go well if you do some reading ahead of time about what to expect.

How many Brazilians live in Tucson?

How many times do I have to say this before it sinks in?How many purple people live where you do? Who cares? We are all people, and MUST stop dividing ourselves by our differences so we can just move forward as a HUMAN RACE.

What does your city offer that Tucson, AZ doesn’t?

Obviously, I can’t say we got sunshine, all year round. Since you already have them in plenty. But I can say, we got water. Everyone of our towns and cities got water. Our lakes are filled with water. And we have rains, in buckets, we count our rains long ago in 100s of inches, we use 100s of centimeters now a days, though. We got jungles. Real jungles, with trees with real canopy, not spiny cactus monsters. We got flowers and orchids flowering all the year round. We don’t have ornery people walking about with guns, shooting out people and signboards. We have idiots breaking letterboxes, though. We got universal health coverage, so people like me who cannot afford paid healthcare can have treatment from government clinics and hospitals, and for those above 65, it is free, or nominal.Healthcare in Malaysia - WikipediaOur people is of many races and culture. We have churches standing a long side Indian and Chinese temples and mosques. We have festivals, from all the different races.ThaipusamFirewalking at Chinese Temples.Opening of the Fast during Hari Raya.We have food from all over the world, including KFC and McD.And we have real football, or soccer as you called it.As for the nearest city to us, which is Kuala Lumpur, we have the twin Petronas Towers.Yeah, we have air conditioning just like you for our shopping malls, and officesA bit different from Tuscon, Arizona, yes?

Why does it seem that Arizona is the scene of so much conflict on race?

Geographically, the most populous area of Arizona, the Phoenix Metropolitan area, home to 4.5 million people, is 2/3 of the population of Arizona. It has the topography low cost of living and climate to attract huge population migration, and bordering states of New Mexico and California don't have that. We also are 200 miles from the Mexico border. So of course we will have a large Latino population. And Phoenix was 6% black in 1950, plus had an Asian community. But, the Latino population has not gotten involved in the political sphere as it should have, so that Latino's represent 1/3 of the politicians in city, state and federal offices. Good ole boy white men have capitalized on the growth and tourism market and blocked smaller ethnic groups from having their share of the gains.  In other words Blacks and Latinos learned to "stay in their place" here, and assimilate into the conservative white culture rather than organize aggresively for the Democratic Party, and weaken the stranglehold of the good ole boy money structure. Old white men are desperately trying to hold on to the Republican majority in politics here. With an aggressive push by the "progressive" democrats, (the centrist democrats are weak and unwilling to fight here) exposing the criminality and greed of these republicans with a vicious attack is the only way forward. Conservative republicans CANNOT stay in power here given the large Latino population, the Black population, and Asian and Native populations, as well as the liberal white population WITHOUT racist ploys and fear mongering to weaken votes. Repeat that last sentence to yourself several times. We are not a highly educated state, and many who move here come from middle of the country rural red areas, and are not college educated. They are not used to living around mass amounts of people of color. In other words, the Democratic Party here does little push back to fight the powerful money interests who control the Republican Party. They suck and need to stop being so weak. If we mobilize the "normal" people here who do not vote, and get all the people of color to the polls, this backward stay in your place white dynasty who controls politics here can be permanently crushed.

Do you have to report to your insurance and/or the DMV when you repaint a car a different color?

Actually it’s a requirement of vehicle identification as a modification of the factory specs when they released it for normal public use. It’s the same conditions as per your exhaust, emissions, engine, window tinting, etc. to be followed as part of the vehicle safety inspection and certification.Any time a modification is made to a vehicle the owner is required to report it to the DOT/MOT to properly update the vehicle information database. Similarly, your insurance is also based on your vehicles manufacturers specs. So the same vehicle with different specs will have a higher or lower insurance liability risk factor, and thus your insurance premium reflects it.A person buys an old 1987 Chev Monte Carlo equipped with a V6 and pays $1400/yr for insurance based on the factory specs. They replace the motor with a high-performance SBC400, installed a small 6–71 blower, poked a hole in the engine hood for the blower, replace the factory TH200 tranny with a 700R4, replaced the entire rear end with a modified Ford rear end with posi, modified the driveshaft, of course, installed sub-frame connector rails, a H dual exhaust system, removed the cats altogether, installed a 3 core maxi-core rad, part-tubed the rear wheel wells, and installed some much wider tires. Then they illegally tint every window pitch black, every single window.Later this same person would get into a street race and end-up killing a family of 4 in a head-on collision. So when the police arrive and lay street racing charges, seize the vehicle, suspend his license, arrest him, and then send the vehicle to an inspection station. Turns out he’s now also charged with insurance fraud once they notify his carrier and the MOT of the vehicle modifications without informing them, as well as the illegal mods he’s performed. No company would have have been able to provide insurance coverage for the vehicle to be driven on the street. And now he can’t get insurance coverage for less than $12K/yr from the Facilities group of insurance for 5 years after his insurance fraud, street racing, and suspended license period has expired in 5 years or so.There’s a reason why you pay low insurance on an everyday vehicle, much more on a sports car, and sometimes you can’t get insurance or even legally drive some vehicles on the road. On a side note, when a vehicle is stolen, the police and the MOT need to know how to properly identify it when it’s found, and how to be able to identify it if they come across it on the road.
