Where Can I Take The Nbde Exam Part I In Dubai

Is PR required for NBDE?

The NBDE is the American board exams. The NDEB - National Dental Examining Board of Canada - is the Canadian abbreviation of run exam.Graduates of programs accredited by the NDEB can write the exam without a PR:Canadian program gradsAmerican program gradsAustralian program grads who graduated on/after March 21, 2010NZ program grads who graduated on/after December 14, 2011Irish program grads who graduated on/after December 5, 2012They do not have to have a PR to write the exam but they would have to emigrate and get a PR to use the passing mark in the NDEB to get a provincial dental license. As an international graduate not from any of the above programs you cannot directly write the NDEB exam even with PR or citizenship. You will have to do either a degree completion program at a Canadian university (2 years) or go through the NDEB equivalency program. Both require you to have PR or citizenship.

Can a 3rd-year Pakistani dental student appear for the NBDE part 1? If not when is the right time to apply?

I think so, at least it used to be that way. Why not contact or go to the Home - American Dental Association website and find out for sure. You can take the National Boards but you had better check what your options are with a dental degree from Pakistan, in the USA. Not very many options sad to say

What equivalency exam would a foreign dentist need to pass in order practice in the United States?

I can tell you what would be necessary if you are a registered dental practitioner from India. You will have to first appear for GRE ( and probably TOEFL too), score above 300 out of 340 in GRE is necessary to get into a good dental school. Following this you will have to prepare and appear for NBDE part 1 exam. It is theory based and you will have to appear for it in US itself. Once you clear that, then you will appear for NBDE part 2 exam which is practical based which will aslo be conducted in US. Once you clear this exam too, you may apply to dental schools and study DDS. If you have a BDS degree, DDS will take you three years to complete. However, the cost is pretty high ( 1-2 lakh $), and takes lot of time and effort. Hope this helps!
