Where Can I Watch 12 Years A Slave 2013 Online

Where can I watch the 12 Years a Slave 2013 film?

You Can Try This[1]I thought this story was reminiscent of Dumas's 'The Count of Monte Cristo', so much so that I knew what would happen at the end and that he would attain his freedom. Its a depressing and brutal film, which of course depicts how it must have been for the slaves. I applaud the acting from most of the cast and appreciate that Pitt and McQueen would have had a hard job convincing actors to participate in this film. The whole shameful episode of slavery is an emotive subject and must be difficult to portray in a way that neither attracts subscription to far right ideology, nor receives condemnation of its portrayal.I think the film is OK as films go, but the subject matter and the depressing script, may leave people wishing that it wasn't such shocking viewing.Footnotes[1] 12 Years a Slave 2013

Has bias treatment against blacks gotten better or worse under the Obama Administration?

C4C members, present and former federal employees injured due to federal workplace discrimination, assert that the discriminatory climate within the federal government has worsened under the current administration. What are your thoughts?
The Coalition For Change, Inc. (C4C) recently issued a comprehensive report addressing seven (7) major obstacles hindering equal opportunities for African Americans in the federal work force. The report, entitled Obstacle 1: The Denial of a Reality, rebuts the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s (EEOC) African American Workgroup report findings issued in March 2013. The C4C report identifies the EEOC as one of the many formidable obstacles facing black federal employees. The group says the upward trend in complaints alleging race (Black/African American), reflects EEOC's failure to enforce civil rights laws and to eradicate discrimination from the workplace. The seven (7) obstacles in the C4C report include: 1) Intentional discrimination; 2) Retaliation; 3) The failure to discipline managers for unlawful discrimination; 4) Free legal counsel to all alleged discriminating officials; 5) Favoritism and nepotism; 6) The Office of Personnel Management's recruitment policies; and 7) The flawed EEOC redress system. If you are looking for some inspiration, then you must watchPursuit of Happiness (2006) (stick to hope in bad days.)Based on a real story. Are children actors featured in R movies or mature TV shows allowed to watch the film/show after it's finished?

Thanks for A2A :)From what I've heard. Yes.First child psychologists are called and they consult the children about what they have to do on what it's going to be like when they have to shoot the film. Then they don't actually see/perform those nude/disturbing scenes. It's all some heavy editing and the magic of the camera angles. And then it's edited in the desired way !I'm not sure about all this but when I saw kids in explicit scene, this same question striked my mind. And somewhere I read all this information on IMDB, archives, blogs, etc.

Is Captain Phillips the best ever movie based on a true story?

I think this is a reasonable question. It might make the top 10 list of movies based on a true story, over the past 20-30 years. Others on the list would include:Philadelphia (1993 movie) - agree with Emily Anderson that this was awesome.United 93 (2006 movie) - also directed by Paul GreengrassLincoln (2012 movie)12 Years a Slave (2013 movie)Schindler's List (1993 movie)Chariots of Fire (1981 movie)I don't think Captain Phillips would be #1 on almost anyone's list, but it was really good and should be considered a credible contender.
