........i don't know if i'm just starting to get older but i feel like facebook is starting to turn very childish.....especially with those "teen only" pages that are just posting **** for likes.....

How Does Social Networking affect your Time?

When you are scrolling down and surfing on the internet then you are wasting time because the main aim of social media is to engage every one if you had noticed that if you had started scrolling down you are searching and scrolling down continuously for an hour or more and you don’t even know you get addicted to social media and started wasting time in it.TheTruthInLife

Is Facebook likely to be replaced by another social network - rather like how it replaced Friendster and to some extent MySpace?

Okay, if Facebook gets murdered, it will probably be at the hands of Twitter. And it's not just about their 200 million accounts.Facebook is a Tool - Facebook, despite marketing the "Facebook Platform", remains a singular utility which tries its to keep its users spending maximum time inside it. To achieve this end, they provide all the tools (chat, messaging, status updates, commenting, photo albums) at the cost of complexity and stripping choice. Apps in Facebook tend to be either linkers or social games - because anything that can threaten Facebook itself, will be mercilessly crushed.Twitter is a Platform - Twitter, in contrast, invites their own eclipse by making the main website as simple (but effective) as possible. There are no additional features; everything is geared towards tweeting and searching for tweets (or tweeters). This has created a vibrant ecosystem of high quality 3rd party apps - Tweetdeck, Hootsuite, Paper.li, etc, most of which are more powerful than Twitter itself. It is significant that Facebook itself is no more than an extended Twitter app (which doesn't use Twitter). The growing sophistication of consumers - Facebook was able to capture a significant market majority because social networking is new and Facebook implements the most basic version of it. People, however, will soon tire of white pages with splashes of blue. In fact, they are already starting to do so. Facebook cannot, unfortunately, drastically upgrade their layout without massive backlash from users. Twitter, on the other hand, does not need to change anything but merely let its 30+ apps partners do the heavy lifting.Facebook's only advantage is legacy - Although people say that they use "Twitter for public", "Facebook for private", it is only a matter of legacy. (Anyone can use Twitter for private use.) The fundamentals remain that Twitter is a much more flexible system. Facebook will be in big trouble once more Tweetdeck-level apps emerge, and they probably will. Just like the monolithic iPhone is getting clobbered by an army of Androids. It will happen in social networking, too. These facts are all well known to Facebook, and they're damn worried about it. Ever since Twitter was only 18 million users they have been busy copycatting it's features, showing how seriously they take this matter.

What's the big deal with Breaking Bad?

First up don't get me confused with a hater as I am not I LIKE THE SHOW but I don't think its as incredible as many seem to say. The show's been over for like 2 years or something and its STILL talked about and referred to as the greatest series EVER. Its good but I would not go THAT far I mean if you ask me it should not even be in the top 10 list for best ever TV series of all time.

I just don't get all the praise like its this wonderful and life changing TV show. Maybe someone can fill me in on why this is.

What is with teens today wanting these polaroid instant cameras?

I remember thinking they were lame when I was a teen and that was a decade ago. Didn't know what the point was when it didn't take any longer to print a photo from your printer than it took for polaroid film to develop.

What has sparked the comeback? I had an idea it might be related to the Diana/Holga toy camera fad, but polaroids don't really give you the same kind of effects - they kind of all come out at the same level of bad.

Is Facebook fading away...?

I agree that it is falling in popularity
