Where Is The Cheapest Place I Can Get A Hd Flat Screen Tv

Are there places in Orlando Fl. that buy broken flat screen tv?

You may want to try Craigslist. Someone may be looking for parts.

Pricing: Why are Flatscreen TVs cheaper than Flatscreen monitors with similar screensize?

It goes with the demand, demand are for big TV and medium computer screen, big monitor are usually used only by designer, developer... Most gamer will play on a TV since they already have their console hooked to it, why not connect the PC too, why buy a 2nd big screen? Also the pixel density in monitor are usually higher than a TV of the same size, you usually don't sit as close of your TV then you would with a monitor. There's also the fact that a TV normally show moving image while a computer will show static content, mostly. All screen, even LCD, does image burn when the same image is displayed for too long. TV don't really need to do anything about that since it display a moving picture most of the time. Computer monitor in revenge will spend more time displaying static picture than moving picture and they are build to lesser the effect of ghost image for that reason. So bottom line is that big monitor have a limited market and this market expect them to be more accurate in aspect ratio, color accuracy, pixel density than a TV. The TV in revenge will have more vivid color, not necessarily natural and are often limited to wide screen format. At close distance you can really see the pixel even on a UHD while a monitor of the same size will often have more pixel and less separation between pixel so it look uniform even at close range. Finally, most TV are sold with defective pixel, they often come with a warranty that kick in only after X amount of pixel are burnt because they know that a few will appear. At the distance you watch TV and with the kind of moving content that is being displayed, you might not notice them, at least not all the time. Now take the example of a dead pixel in a computor monitor, I would spend several houres a day seeing this anoyance, aberation, constantly naging me while I work, read, blog, that would be unacceptable in my opinion so part of the cost is because of that, no one would want a monitor with a single dead pixel, but a TV meh, who care...

Can you fix a cracked flat screen TV?

You don't.It is a strange part of the economics of TVs that spare flat panels cost more than a new TV would. The problem is that shipping and storing replacement panels is relatively expensive and sitting in the warehouse waiting for someone to break the panel they cost money (effectively a kind of rent). Given that there are hundreds of different types and size of panel the storage would be massive for any company that did it. Think of it like buying a replacement chassis for a car: the biggest element and if it breaks you usually sell the parts for scrap. The only hope you might have is to find an identical model and size TV which is broken in a different way (main board blown or case plastics destroyed) and swap parts until it works. But repair shops usually snap up salvaged panels to sell to people like you at a premium.

How do you replace a Samsung LED TV screen?

We m with a Samsung 4k TV. : )

I have a ten year old Daytek flat screen TV that just crapped out. Is it worth getting it fixed or should I just buy a new TV?

Ten years is a good run for any tv these days. Having someone fix it will cost $100-$200 minimum. Additionally, the age of the TV means that more problems are probably going to follow. I sell tv components myself, but I can't recommend attempting to prolong the life of this tv any further. TVs have changed a great deal in the past 10 years, and prices are all over the place. However, you can get a really nice tv, with modern attributes, to fit almost any budget. If you choose to get a new tv, I highly recommend finding the one you want in a local store, noting the model number, and searching for it online. Free shipping and warranties are typically included with most online retailers, while the prices are far below those at big box locations. Online stores have far lower overhead costs, so they often pass that on to consumers.

I have this new flat screen tv. And can't get my dvd player to work.?

My cheap apex dvd player will not work on the new Sony Bravia Flat Screen. I have the 3 monster cable connecter going from video 1 on dvd to video 1 on tv. Don't know how to get it to play. On my old tv I had to run the dvd player thru the vcr to get it to work. But the vcr is 1995 model sony. I don't know what to do. The manual for the tv is very confusing. They told me at the store I could just connect my equipment to this tv.
help!!!!!

I have a Hitachi 52" LCD flat screen Model # L47S601 T.V. that suddenly WILL NOT turn on....?

It worked this morning, I turned it off for a couple of hours and when I tried to turn it back on....NOTHING! Could it be a simple "do-it-myself" fix? Maybe a bulb? (is that the right terminology?) If anyone out there thinks this might be the problem, can anyone clue me in on where this (the bulb?) might be, how I go about getting to it, what tools I need and where I get a replacement bulb? Thank you so much!!!!!

Is there a way to fix minor dents/scratches on a flat screen LCD TV that DOESN'T involve hiring a repair guy?

While my girlfriend was drunk, mad at me, and being stupid, she decided it would be a good idea to chuck a tape measure at the flat screen TV in our apartment... that doesn't belong to us. The apartment is fully furnished and all-inclusive, so it belongs to our landlord.

Now, we don't have the warranty, obviously, so getting in touch with Seiki about replacing the TV isn't an option. We're not really in a financial position right now to hire a repair guy, and frankly I'm not crazy about that idea in case one of the maintenance guys here or other tenants sees him and wants to know what's up.

There are two minor dents/scratches near the lower right hand corner of he screen, but they're not near the edge. The larger one is only a quarter inch in length, and the other one is less than half that size. They wouldn't even be that noticeable, except there's backlight bleeding that you can definitely notice when the screen is a dark color, and the scratches can definitely be physically felt with your finger.

So, are there any inexpensive ways I can repair this damage myself? Any reliable scratch repair kits that would work on this kind of damage? Not only is it incredibly annoying to have to look at them, but I'm kind of freaking out since it isn't our TV. Our security deposit wasn't exactly cheap, and I'd kind of like to get it back when we move out.
