Hamster Prices in the Philippines?
Hi, I'm currently in the Philippines right now. I have heard of a famous pet shop here called "Bio Research"? Umm, I'm just wondering if anyone here who happens to come there, can tell me how much are the hamsters there? I want to buy a pair for my friend and I'm nowhere near a Bio Research shop so. I'm trying to know the price online. And if anyone can tell me if Bio Research has a website and what is that website, thank you.

There are many pet shops here in the Philippines, like in the malls. There's a good pet store named,Bio-research. They sell all varieties of small animals like guinea pig, mice and porcupines. They also sell cages and playing tubes or tunnel whatsoever. They also sell authorized hamster feeds for you pet's health. This store has many branches, especially in SM malls and Robinson's There's also a pet shop in Cartimar in Pasay city. I think they sell iguanas, snakes and other exotic animals, if you want.
Hamster-friendly paint in the Philippines?
Hey guys! :> I have a ton of hamsters and I'm planning on making them this wooden hamster hotel with their own rooms and stuff :)) But I have a problem: I can't find any wood waterproofer for the job! I have been looking for stuff like plastikote, but then end up with a sad face cuz I can't find any :< Can anyone please give me a suitable brand of paint of whatever for my hammies? :< Or give me a link where I can buy some of it here in the Philippines? :(( Please and thank you! x3

There are no specific dust baths for hamsters, but any chinchilla dust or sand could work, but make sure the sand is clean and dry! You could buy some on petsmart.com, or you could buy some play sand at any hardware store, but once again, make sure it is clean! Hope you find it! :)

What kind of sand can I use for my hamster?
Children’s Playpit sand. That’s the easiest one to find.Or you can go ahead and buy Chinchilla sand. (not chinchilla dust. Buy chinchilla sand)Brand: Supreme.Please note that there shouldn't be any dust in the sand. There’s a risk that the dust particles might enter the respiratory organs of the hammy and it might get fatal.You can use the sand straightaway but if you really wanna be sure that it’s 100% bacteria free then I would suggest that you bake the sand in the oven at 200 degrees for 45 minutes and allow it to cool before laying it out for your hamster.
Can you get rabies from a hamster?
I would not advise someone bitten by a hamster to pursue rabies post-exposure prophylaxis, for two reasons: rodents, including hamsters, and lagomorphs like rabbits almost never serve as rabies vectors, despite being mammals. As noted, this is probably because they don’t survive attack by a rabid animal (or survive rabies long enough to transmit it). And hamsters and other animals bred captively (even raccoons and skunks) aren’t exposed to rabies in the first place.
HELP PLEASE? What is the best pet shop in the Philippines? (for guinea pigs and hamsters!)?
I live here in the Philippines (I live in Pangasinan, Region II, Luzon). I have pet guinea pigs and Syrian hamsters. Because I have pets, I need to go to a pet shop to buy things for them. I think PetSmart and PetCo are the best pet shops in the world. But they are only in America and not here in the Philippines. But we can not leave Philippines. So, we can not visit PetSmart or PetCo. I visited many pet shops here in the Philippines, but none of them are good. They do not know how to take care of pets properly and they do it the wrong way. Here are the examples: They only feed the hamsters sunflower seeds, they sell excercise wheels that are too small and are made of bars, they feed the guinea pigs feeds that are made for rabbits, they give the guinea pigs and hamsters water in a dish, etc.-all of these are wrong! Please tell me the best and most reliable and high-quality pet shop in the Philippines. Remember, I live in Pangasinan, Luzon, AND I AM LOOKING FOR PET SHOPS FOR GUINEA PIGS AND HAMSTERS.
