Is Chennai a better city than Bengaluru and Hyderabad? Why?

NOOOOOOOO..............Bangalore is a way better city than chennai. I am a girl from Kolkata and I had a great love for Chennai city and tamil movies before coming to Chennai to do my B.E. I am not generalizing but I can share my experience after staying in the city for 4 years.Chennai1) The weather is too harsh and extremely hot but if you are carrying an umbrella in the blazing heat people will mock at you and pass on commands like "oh..so beauty conscious","shall I too come under the umbrella?" etc etc2) If you talk in hindi in a public places people stare at you as if you are a terrorist. They get irritated and frustrated when they hear hindi. (stubborn about their language)3) They keep telling that only "tamil culture " is the richest culture and all other traditions are low compared to their traditions.4) You board a bus and you can see an entire bus(including aunties, uncles, boys, girls and even the kids) staring at you. Even if they understand that you are uncomfortable with this behavior they don't stop.5) In my college lectures were also given in tamil and when we(north indian) students asked them to teach in english, even teachers would tell us to learn tamil to survive.6) Auto drivers ask for ransom amount of money if they find that you are an outsider.I am not against the language or culture or traditions. But when people from different parts of the country come to Chennai I think they should be welcomed and not be humiliated.Bangalore1) Every person I have met in Bangalore is very helpful and especially caring when they see that you belong to some other state.2) Everyone lives their own life and no one is bothered about what you wear or do.( no staring)3) People who are natives of Karnataka also help or atleast try to talk in English or Hindi just to make you feel at home.4)Weather in Bangalore is awesome and always pleasant5) Food is just wow in Bangalore. You can get any cuisine in this city starting from traditional Bengali to authentic Chinese everything is available in Bangalore.6) The auto drivers are very helpful and do not try to loot you after seeing you are an outsider.Banglore embraces every person who comes to the city. Bangalore is a perfect blend of tradition with modern outlook. I loved Bangalore.

Can a 24 year old guy start his career as a professional race driver in India? I want to be a racer, for F1 or MotoGp. How can I start it now?

I’m sorry but the boat has sailed on that one. Most MotoGP and F1 racers start training at a very young age, some even before they turn 10. In fact starting after the age of 10 is sometimes considered late.Look, in some ideal world I would’ve said go live your dream and fulfil your fantasy, but this world is far from ideal. You are too old to start any form of a career that leads to F1 or MotoGP. There’s a different kind of fitness required, different level of training(which has to be 24*7), and of course a minimum of a few million to support you through the support classes. And if you had those millions then you probably wouldn’t be asking this question on Quora. This isn’t to say that you cannot do racing, racing is a business that also has a lot of amateurs. All the fancy cars and racing bikes sold across the world aren’t just for illegal street racing, they are also used for legitimate range events and track days. You can try and earn enough money to start a racing career in such events.I say this because that’s what I want to achieve now. I too wanted a career like you in MotoGP and F1, but unfortunately realised it too late. So I’ll race a fast bike or car around my favourite tracks in the world some other way. It’s really the pushing yourself to the limit that I love about racing. I hope you aim for that too. Forget MotoGP and F1, you can even be involved as an engineer if you so want, but racing is not gonna happen.

How do you become a Formula 1 driver in India?

There goes the impossible. Let me tell you this is a near impossible feat and I am the best exmaple of someone who tried and failed. You need three basic things talent, money and luck. You must start before you are a teenager. The best start would be to start racing in go-karts. Apply for a go-kart racing license from Federation of Motorsports. You need to buy a seat from a team, yes its all about money. Initially you use your own money to start, but eventually you will need a sponsor. You could secure a sponsor if you are talented and some company notices it. Make your way by winning regional championships and then international. The first step is easy, in my time I was very dominant in go-karts, with a few club championships. Things went sour when I failed to get sponsorship and I sacked this idea just before my 11th birthday. Now imagine you are about to enter your teenage. You have dominated karts and you have at least Rs.50Lakh in sponsorship, then make a move to formula 4. The best one will be the British version of it. Same as before apply a license, buy a seat and win. Get more sponsors and move to formula 3. If you get noticed by teams, one of the team will invite you test for them and if you impress they will sign you.Eventually at your early 20s, with a couple of championships and multi million dollars of sponsorship, a f1 team will approach you. Your manager could also talk to them. They will arrange test drives for you and once you get a super license you will be signed as test and reserve driver. If you maintain your form, money and luck, a racing role will come soon. But as I said its near impossible. Don't dream what you can't achieve. Its pretty much over for you. Even if you miss a single step or you get a little older. At the most anyone could get a seat in formula 4 with money, but retaining it or moving higher won't be possible.
