Which College Has The Best Marketing Minor And Or Major Asu Or Ua

Should I major in marketing and minor in finance or the opposite?

For what it's worth, I'd consider the following:With the Finance/marketing approach, you'll be seen as someone who can do finance, and speaks marketing.  With the Marketing/finance approach, it will be the opposite. Having said that, if you're going into Marketing, the Marketing major is probably the best route.  For finance, general management, or other business career paths, I'd rather have the candidate who could do finance, and speak marketing.  A major in finance probably gives you more options in the long-run, unless you're specifically looking to work in a marketing role.Michael ClementsVanderweil EngineersAtlanta GA

What is a good minor for a marketing major?

Business majors should display as much quantitative skills as possible. There will be more emphasis decision support in marketing strategies. This usually means market research methods of data acquisition and analysis at the least. These courses may be available in the business school.Pardon my typographical, spelling, and punctuation as i am using speech-to-text software

How many courses do you recommend taking in one semester?

Depends on you and the school (and what classes you’re taking).I did eight, but I’m pretty crazy in that respect.Somewhere in the four-to-six range is pretty standard. If it’s easy, feel free take it up a notch; if it’s hard, drop it down. If you want more time for social life (especially to make friends first semester), take a lighter courseload. If you want to nail down your academics (and/or graduate early), take a heavier courseload.Other obligations - clubs, research, etc. - have to be factored in as well. Also, more advanced classes are harder, so the scale of the classes matters. (“Eight undergraduate classes” was easy for me; “four graduate, four undergraduate” made for a very rough semester.)Talk to an advisor at your school… then, if you want to be ambitious, take it up a notch, because they tend to advocate playing it safe.

What do students think of Arizona State University?

Arizona State University is exactly what you make of it – I have friends going to top law schools, medical schools, graduate programs, brand-name companies, etc. I also have friends who do not have post-graduate employment and think additional education at ASU (read: more debt) is the answer. The successful ones chose the right majors, performed well in their classes, became leaders in multiple clubs on campus, obtained a few internships, and aggressively pursued what they desired, while also typically being in Barrett, The Honors College. In my opinion, a "successful" ASU student needs to make informed decisions about major choice and understand completely the impact that it will have on their post-undergraduate options. You also need to get involved so that you learn how to work with other people and develop interests outside of your academics/social life. Let's take two examples on deciding between majors:Student 1: Supply Chain Management/Marketing Major, good grades, little extracurricular involvement, 1 internship, 70k+ job offer.Student 2: Marketing Major, lots of extracurricular involvement, a few internships, no job offer. The difference is some degrees at ASU are in demand and others are not. If you were at a top undergraduate institution, then you can pursue the majors nearly any major you are passionate about and still have the flexibility to choose a different career path. Outside of this bit, you can find talented professors (such as Luke Stein!), a strong research presence, fantastic weather, a great social life, and a fun college town in Tempe. As I look back on my four years at ASU, I am really going to miss the place.
