Which Country Is More Dangerous

The most dangerous countries in the world?

The best list I've come across is Forbes. Mercers do a good list but you have to subscribe and pay a fee to view I think, not sure.

1. Afghanistan
2. Iraq
3. Somalia
4. Pakistan
5. Sudan
6. Yemen
7. Democratic Republic of Congo
8. Guinea
9. Russian Caucasus
10. Nigeria
11. Chad
12. The Sahel
13. Haiti
14. Colombia
15. Zimbabwe

To me, this list still has a couple of frustrations. Pakistan and Iraq are dangerous countries, though they're based more on dangers for westerners than overall violence which contradicts the list title. Colombia's more dangerous than Pakistan and it's 10 places lower.

Iraq's calmed down hugely, there's no way in hell it's as dangerous as Somalia or DR Congo now. Hilarious. Afghanistan is terrible but I don't think I'm preaching to the choir there! Haiti remains the most dangerous place in the Caribbean and like I was saying, I mostly like the list.

Two of the choices aren't countries either but regions.

Whatever you do, don't go on crime rates. In most instances it's a case of *the safer the city or country, the more crime is reported*. You can go on *murder* rates - to a point, and it's useless including war zones since they don't (can't) count properly due to the conditions. Entities with huge murder rates but mundane crime rates possibly have more murders than are in the stats (Colombia which is partly war zone and Venezuela certainly do). Those places which have a lot of murders but also high reported crime rates are logically more likely to have accurate murder rates (USA, South Africa).

Outside of wars, Honduras and Venezuela lead the world in murder.

Is IRAN dangerous for other countries?

While Iranians themselves have not invaded other countries, the government's rhetoric is very anti-western and full of hatred. Hatred is a very dangerous thing and when you couple that with atomic/nuclear energy, there's your bomb right there. According to the IAEA?? I suppose they're about as credible as the UN?...thank you smiter!

As far as no documentation of Iranians having participated in terrorism...was not the current Iranian leader one of the hostage takers in the Iranian Hostage Crisis that occurred during Carter's administration?

In regards to the Iraninan youngsters-I only hope NEO's right. It's so unfathomable that a small group of extremists/fanatics can control an entire governmental system as well as the country. I can only say how sad of an example Iran is in regards to what extremism of any sort does to a country and to its' people. Iranians were known worldwide for their being a very highly cultured and intellectual people. This has been squashed and suppressed by the Iranian government. Citizens have had to hide books, be careful of what and where they say/do, what they wear(women are beaten for wearing nail polish, makeup, or if their stockings aren't black enough, or they're without covering for their hair),lest they be heard and reported, jailed or worse.

I hope that the Iranian people can one day return to live as they were, without the extremism/fanaticism ruling over their lives; and bring back a more moderate governmental system-then we can truly say that the Iranian government isn't dangerous for other countries.

What country is more dangerous? Cuba or Mexico?

Cuba. They got the Cuban Missile Arolids Chapman and Yoenis Cespedes

Which country is more dangerous, Syria or Iraq?

Both. for one reason: their cultural rules which their societies created out of many factors like dictator systems that made the nations defenders & protector to themselves + the wrong interpretations to religions that led to extremists, these cultural rules are destroying any growth a human might take from life.Beside, it’s not a valid question to ask which country is more dangerous when both countries are unstable and in a war situation!

Which country is more dangerous: South Africa or Brazil?

Crime in both these nations is out of control but I think that Brazil is far more dangerous than South Africa. In South Africa the low-income townships and slums located just outside cities and towns (which boast of some of the wealthiest surburbs in the world) have a lot of criminal activity ranging from house and business robbery, hijacking, murder and rape.In the city centers (downtown) of many major cities such as Johannesburg, Kempton Park, Pretoria etc. Nigerian druglords and pimp masters have taken over, and common crimes in these areas include drug-dealing and smuggling, human trafficking and drug-related homicides. In Brazilian favelas all these crimes are prevalent but one sharp difference I have noted is that drug-dealing and smuggling in favelas is not similar and on the scale of Nigerian drug lords in South Africa; it's much more serious than that.I have seen crime documentaries proving the existence well-organized drug mafias which are in total control of most parts of the favelas. They even have major gun battles involving up to twenty gangsters at times, some of the armed with automatic rifles and grenade launchers, with a rather militarized police force that even launches military-style airborne raids on the favelas.Crime in South Africa is out of control but it is not close to reaching the intensity of the war between Brazilian police and drug lords, and the mafias themselves, in the favelas.

Which country is more dangerous: Iraq or Australia?

I think Australia is the most dangerous place in the world - If the fresh air does not kill you, the scenery will; and if you manage to survive happy people, you will definitely die of staring at the endless vistas.A very dangerous place indeed - and now lets see how it compares with Iraq…..

Which country is more dangerous for us, Pakistan or China?

No country is dangerous for us …we have the third largest army in the world. We are one of the superpowers of the world. This question has become a joke when you added Pakistan in it(so delete Pakistan from the question they are not even a competitor for us). Then about China we are one of the largest importers of Chinese products . Chinese market depends on Indian market …from tooth brushes to pens to toys…everything comes from China…and can affect Chinese market largely if we put a standstill on all those.

Which country is more dangerous to visit, America or Russia?

Off course USA. You know WHY? At least in Russia you don't have to worry about any crazy guy with gun coming to any shop or mall or restaurant or bus stand or railway station or school (even Kindergarden) or university and start shooting and killing people. I feel absolutely SAFE in Russia even in my small town where I live and it is 50 kms outside of Moscow. You can get killed in Russia by being stupid and getting in trouble with wrong people at wrong place but you will never be KILLED by any gun wielding crazy motherf**ker just like that who just want to kill people without any reason.
